    Default GIGABYTE GA-EX58-UD5 Overclock Help

    I have this motherboard with a 920 (D0 stepping) and DDR1600 memory. I've never overclocked before and after reading through many posts, I'm still pretty confused.

    I'm running OSX (retail install) on the board and it is very stable. I get about 8400 on geekbench and have good cooling. I would like to overclock this setup but still would like to maintain good stability. I'm thinking somewhere in the 3.8 range.

    Can someone walk through all the settings in the bios that I need to change to get there? Please?

    Thanks!

    Ray

    Those settings caused it to crash as soon as it started booting into the OS.

    @raymondh

    Please try these.

    1. Set CPU V core to 1.26V
    2. Set Bclk to 160 MHz
    3. Ensure your mem Voltage is 1.65v and QIP/VTT voltage is 1.35 V

    This should get you to 3.2 GHz / 3.36GHz - with Turbo mode and DIMMS should be at 1600 MHz with mem ratio at 10x.
