I would suggest for now, until you get a bit more stable to leave CPU Ref on Auto as it should not need adjusted until very high clocks or you are pushing for something and you know how to properly test this setting.

MCH Ref changes are fine to test though.

MCH Core of 1.4 is WAY to much!! Please lower this now before you fry your chipset. Even at 500 FSB you should not need more than 1.24-1.32 (With 4GB of ram)

Good luck with your tweaking though as it looks like you are making some progress, sorry to have to inform you of those things you need to lower though. Even though they may help you get stable, that is not the correct things or way to get it all stable safely.

Hopefully I will get a reply back here shortly for you about the BIOS's and or 1.6 Page.

It will be added to the US Site in the next day or so, should be up by Friday I am told.

Not sure if that is .US or the usa.com one, so check both or I will let you know once I see it up

Not sure if you already are using this BIOS or not since you did not say, but here is the latest release for this model >>

Can you further explain this please? I have always been wondering why different Gigabyte sites show completely different stuff.

Also, this 1.6 revision, do you have access to any information about changes from rev 1.1?

Well some are not updated as fast as others, and some only certain regions of the world have certain models of motherboards.

Sorry, I am not sure of any of the board changes.

I don't understand. Rev 1.6????? All I see on the Gigabyte website is rev 1.0 and 1.1.

I'm also confused... this whole rev 1.6 board came out of no where, and Gigabyte's website has no info on it lol, but Rancid states that he has owned the board for a few months.... which is even more puzzling.

and also, for 535fsb, you only need 1.34v mch core.

    From hardwarecanucks.com:
On the EP45-UD3P Ver 1.6 (I presume the 6 in the version number is purely to indicate "Smart 6":

"Aside from featuring the new Smart 6 system management utilities package, this model remains unchanged, which is totally fine with us. The EP45-UD3P is one of the best P45 motherboards on the market and it has been continously acclaimed for its overclocking capabilities."

There are also photo's and details of the brand new EP45-UD5, featuring a (probably overkill for a Core 2) massive 24 power phases, which is 4 times the amount on the UD3's. This may help overclocking with Quad Core CPU's.

If I go Core i7/i5 early, I know where I'm going for my board. Gigabyte are putting out a very impressive range. If anything there is slightly too much choice. I would also like to see a sleeker colour scheme for the high end boards. Perhaps a black PCB and dark gun-metal heatsinks etc. Royal blue and white for PCIe and PCI respectively would look awesome with this colour scheme.

Perhaps a black PCB and dark gun-metal heatsinks etc.
Black absorbs a lot of heat. It's not good for heatsinks.

That EP45-UD5 looks interesting, anyone care to speculate on whether it's worth getting for a Core2Duo user such as my self, or even for say someone who may get a Core2Quad later on?
