Holy crap, thats a big case with a lot of fans lol. I have a tiny little case - my TRUE heatsink actually makes it so that I can't properly close it. It's okay though, my computer is quiet and I prefer leaving the side open for airflow. I only have 1 system fan which I am thinking about removing because it does nothing if my case is open anyway.

What kind of Overclock are you running and what are your idle/load temps on that beast, Grnkjr0?

    Temperatures are very room dependent.

I can play games at BCLK 205x20 with turbo on = 4.3 GHz, but I never tested to see if BCLK 205 x 20 could do a Prime95 test.

I have run 200 x20 on Prime95 earlier, but I think I can go down 2-3 degrees with what I now have learned.

Load highest running Prime95 around 72 C and idle do not know. Right now running BCLK 180 with a 1.344 Vcore, at 8.26 PM, with a 22 C room temperature the lowest core temp is 38 and highest 42 C.

EDIT: Picture running Prime95 from earlier. I know I can improve this by 2-3 degrees, from what I now know. Remember I have a C0 chip and I need a lot of voltage.

Mmm, this thread has given me hope of increasing my stock voltage overclock. I thought I was going to be stuck at my current OC (see my sig), but if the new fan improves my temperatures, I may squeeze some more juice out of it :)

    Running Furmark 205x20 + turbo = 4.3 Ghz

Notics the 59 C degrees on my GTX 285 - very impressive - because its a vanilla model and its overclocked to 740 core, shader 1600 and 1403 memory. Default is 648 core, 1476 shader and 1242 memory.

EDIT: I better tell I put some Enzotech MOS-C1 on the VRAM because the Accelero Xtreme 280 does not cool that on the GTX 285, fits only on the GTX 280.

13 fans in 1 case can work wonders lol. I was actually thinking about modding the side of my case with a 200-250mm fan (the side panel needs to be modded anyway if I hope to ever close my case with my TRUE sticking out). Could be a fun little summer project. Those big ones are nice and quiet too.

Edit: *Ahem* to get this all back on topic. I recommend everyone buy a 200mm fan if they are seeing 100C on their i7...lol

I know what you mean. I actually have another Ultra Kaze laying around I bought because I wanted those in a push/pull setup. But I need some way to control the 2nd fans RPM. I know what to buy to get this done, but never got around to do it yet.

I have lots of things I wanna test with my rig, but I also need to work - lol.

Well I got the Everflow 2400RPM/110CFM fan and now my temperatures don't hit above 80C (versus 90C before), so success! I am moving soon and will be removing the heatsink when I ship my box, so I'll reseat it and apply some better thermal paste and see what else I can squeeze out of it.

I did notice that the fan is considerably more noisy though, and even with PWM, it only slows down to 1900RPM at idle (probably because of my overclock). Any way to control the min/max speeds of the CPU fan? I tried SpeedFan but it doesn't seem to have any effect. I would like the fan to spin down to 1600RPM at idle like my old fan. Even at 300 more RPM, this fan didn't improve idle temperatures at all so the noise is just a nuisance when I'm doing light computing.

I have a Scythe Mugen 2 with a Ultra Kaze attached. I use Easytune 6 to control fan speed and it works perfect. When doing nothing at idle I have it at 30% in Easytune 6 and the core temperatures are around 34-36, depending on room temperature. That 30% comes out as 1790 RPM and I can not even hear it from the TV running in the background.

Ultra Kaze is very loud when I set it at 100% - omg.

I replaced arctic silver II TIM with IC Diamond 7 and my idle temps dropped 7c and 20c at full load.
