    Ummmmm, similar maybe, but not identical. I wasn't talking about the core temps, i was talking about CPU temperature which is measured by a different type of sensore that is located in a different location in the CPU.
    It's the TMPINx in HWMonitor, the one that changes according to load.

    Nothing wrong with your temperatures. Who cares about idle temps? they're not important. Load temps are the ones that count.

    Could be that you have stuck core sensors. My E7400 idles at 42C both cores in a 28C room, inside or out of the case. The temperatures do climb, but only several seconds after starting Prime95.

    Compered to what others get with his vcore/FSB it's rather high.
    My E8500 @stock gets 57-59c in IBT. It's not low, but it's not high either.

    As stated by Psycho101, idle temps don't mean sh1t. A lot of E8500 owners (including myself) have stuck temp sensors at idle.
