    Yes, HCI memtest for testing in Win7 x64. memtest64+ 4.0 for the bootup testing (never failed that test regardless of my memory settings).

    The BIOS settings I used were your recommendations in your previous post (about 8 back). The specific DRAM and QPI/VTT voltage were at the high end of your recommendations. I tried again with them slightly higher.

    I used various combinations of HCI memtest. Started one instance and set the memory amount to 2047. I'd let it run about 30 seconds while starting another instance at 2047. I tried up to four instances of memtest. Errors usually occur around 12% in (sometimes sooner and sometimes later).

    I've had success at stock SPD settings and also at 1333 (8-8-8-24) with the DRAM and QPI/VTT at the lower end of your recommendations. Four instances of HCI memtest passed overnight (600%)

    I'd like to continue trying to get 1600 stable if you think it can be done. Let me know what else to tweak based on failures at your previously recommended settings (high end of voltages).

    Well always repost your settings, I do not want to look back and think you are using a setting only to find out 2 pages later you missed something or changed one and forgot to mention it. It's just easier for everyone if you always repost your failing settings.

    I recommend using HCI memtest with 3 instances, of 1024MB apiece (For a 6GB Setup) Start them all at once, if things fail quickly then you likely do not have enough Vcore or QPI/Vtt set

    Give me what you tried for 1600 and I will advise back when I get back later tonight

    Hello everybody,

    Im new in this forum but im very very glad that i've found it. I have the same problem as koops but i haven't fixed it yet nor found what's causing it. I wrote in all the forums i know guru3d, gigabyte french forum, sli nvidia forum and no one seems to know what my problem is. My comp locks up or freezes randomly; Sometimes it doesnt freezes like for a day or two and sometimes it freeze while im watching a video or playing a game and sometimes it just freezes when im browsing the web or when im in my desktop.
    I can see the desktop but i cant interact. Sometimes VLC freezes and the sound works but the image is stuck and i can do nothing except a hard boot.
    And when it freezes in games or video the sound stutters and the image get stucked.
    Sometimes i can play like hours in call of duty modern wafare 2 or resident evil 5 like 6hours and mode. And sometimes I can keep tv on mediacenter all night. It's very weird.
    i tried all the bioses from F7 to f9k all the drivers from 186.16 to 195.62.
    tried optimized default, fail safe setting everything i could.
    My temps are good. My core i7 reaches max 70 with occt turbo enabled. I tried disabling turbo, multithread nothing works.
    please guys help me i just bought this rig and i cant even enjoy it :'(.

    Here are the settings I tried for running the memory at 1600 based on your original recommendations. It fails HCI memtest at about 10% in. Note that I am using 12GB not 6GB.

    Please make a new thread with your full specs, and issues, and your full settings you are having an issue with. Template is in my signature for your settings.

    A new thread will help us all keep track of your specs, and what you have/have not tried.

    Your issues sound to me like incorrect settings is all, please do use the latest BIOS and start from Optimized Defaults.

    Answers to your questions.
    On the Command Rate (CMD) setting, I was confused by "1T" when the setting doesn't seem to have units ("T"). I though the T was a typo. I will set it at 1 for the next test.

    On the IOH Core, I also tried 1.28v but I never went higher that 1.3.

    I was doing what you suggested. I ran 3 of them using 1024MB each. They didn't make it to 10% before errors started. To run HCI memtest, I start one, set the amount of memory, wait for it to start then start the next one and do the same. Before I read your recommendation, I was running anywhere from 2 to 4 instances of the program set to 2047MB each (2047 is what the program suggests when I try the default setting "All Available Memory").

    Sorry, that is just the normal way most people say command rate (1T or 2T), sorry for the confusion!

    Ok, just wondered about HCI, sounds good. You just need to find the right voltages I think because your memory settings should be ok and not causing you this issue. Be sure you are not using to little amount of Vcore as well as this will cause it to fail too

    good morning guys.
    Yesterday my comp locked when when i was browsing and he rebooted automaticly and i've got this error:

    The computer has restarted after an error verification. The error verification was: 0x00000050 (0xfffff880030cc000, 0x0000000000000001, 0xfffff8800f363c72, 0x0000000000000000).

    edit: ive updated my nvidia drivers to 195.81 it freezed when playing cod mw2.

    Vcore is on Auto now. Should I only bump that up if all else fails?
