    Angry EP45-UD3R Overclocking - SPEECHLESS -

    System Configurations:
    -Mainboard: EP45-UD3R
    -Processor: C2D E8400
    -VGA: Nvidia 9500GT 1GB DDR2
-RAM: 2x2GB Kingston HyperX 1066 Mhz Ram (KHX8500D2/2G)
    -CPU Cooler: Asus V60
    http://specialtech.co.uk/spshop/files/detail/v-60.jpg
    -Power Supply: Asus 550W/500W

First without any overclocking i couldn't get my ram to work at 1066 :S
i took the ram timings from the official website which came out to be 5-5-5-18 with 1.8v , and 5-5-5-15 2.25V but i could never boot with it.

I tried alot of tweaks and each time i get that message in the redbox

But you are on 400FSB now, so you mean they would boot with 400FSB but not with 333?

I'd stick to 33, till things are sorted.
Interesting your BIOS does not have the Extreme Memory Profile (X.M.S) bethween Performance Enhance and (G)MCH Frequency Latch, is it because these modules don't have EPP?

my board has (G)MCH Frequency Latch, so u think i shud set my fsb to 333 then what ? same problem i guess

I really don't know, same settings just 333FSB? I don't know much about this and I don't have that many voltage settings in my board, but they look ok to me.
Maybe run memtest on both of them at DDR-800, then try single stick at a time?

It looks like you bought 2 individual ram modules, not a single 2x2GB kit. This shouldn't be, but might be part of the problem.

If your MCH Core voltage is too high or too low, this will cause the boot problems with the accompanying red-box error message.

The manually set Advanced Timing memory settings might be part of the problem.

Follow the recommendations in this post, making sure that you initially load OPTIMIZED settings. The only other changes that you should make is to set Dram Voltage to 2.20 or 2.22 for 1066 memory speeds and set MCH Core to 1.20, 1.22, or 1.24 volts. Sometimes 1.05 volts is needed.
Include your bios settings in your next post.

If you system won't run with both modules at 1066MHz, you'll need to boot and test with only 1 memory module at a time.
Follow steps 1 -4 but use the generic bios template below to post your bios settings.
You'll make it much easier for us if you add your hardware setup to your forum signature.

You need to run Memtest86+ for at least 8 - 10 full passes initially.
    Memtest86+ info is available here.

    Code:
    Motherboard: Model: Rev#: Bios Version:
    Cpu: Model
Ram: Brand, Model/Part#, Link to your ram's specs
Power Supply Unit: Brand, Model#, Wattage

Default settings for new setups that are not overclocked.

note: replace all ?? with the value displayed in your bios.
----> Replace "Auto" with manually set values.

I may be missing something, but I see no indication of the OP having two unmatched modules. The timings and voltages refer to what the pair of DIMMS require for DDR-800 and DDR-1066 operation respectively.

Also in Kingston's infinite wisdom, they sometimes only put the version code for a matched set on the packaging. The version codes on the RAM can be the same as the individual stick codes. Confusing, but possible.

There is nothing glaringly obvious in the BIOS settings as to the problem. A reduction in MCH Core should be possible. I can run 486FSB on a quad with 1.26V. Memtest would be a good idea. You'll know for sure if your RAM settings need drastically altering or if the modules are faulty/incompatible.

As allways load n save optimum defaullts first.
Your ram if it has an epp on it use it.
See how high you can get the ram to work with the lowest possible voltage/on whatever multiplier.Selecting latch speed to auto will leave all the multipliers available.
Once you have a feel for what your memory will do:start on the cpu.
