    Default Strange gigabyte driver dowloads

On the driver download page for my motherboard (GA-MA78GPM-UD2H) I see:

    Audio 2009/07/09 R2.25-5857
    Chipset 2009/03/09 8.63
    LAN 2009/07/09 6.222.0504.2009

Those drivers are very fresh, only a few days old, and the chipset driver is amazingly fresh, i.e. the unreleased catalyst 9.7 driver.

Seems a bit strange to me. Particularly since the release date of the chipset driver has not changed since the last release 2009/03/09.

Observant! You will find a couple of threads on here about gigabyte websites and there drivers being "Strange" I think the problem begins with some other bunch of wankers having www.gigabyte.com as a domain name. So gigabyte in all there wisdom just create a friggin gigabyte website for every damm country on the planet. I would just get my drivers from www.gigabyte.com.tw as its like the "home" page of gigabyte sorta so IDK maybe its the up to date one? I have seen two different latest BIOS for the X48-DS5 mother board at one stage between it and the US website www.giga-byte.com the www.gigabyte.com.au is sometimes out of date to so the New Zealand one would be the last website I would go to for up to date stuff as its just so far down out of the way. lol. Joking.

.com.tw has the same drivers. Wouldn't be a problem except when I install them I lose the ability to play blu-ray...

It takes ages to download stuff this far south as well. ;)

I put the whole bundle on there. It was either the chipset catalysts or the realtek audio drivers. I could try putting em on there one at a time, but I'd have to be keen. At the moment I'm thinking Gigabyte is showing the wrong files for my mobo...

I personally really like the HTPC thing. High def and multi channel audio is nice once you have it.
