    Thanks LSD and Psycho!... Somehow I completely overlooked whether or not it was set to master or slave. It was set to master... I set it to slave and now it seems to be working fine. No random crashes... yet.

    However, USB drives still don't work, even after CMOS clear and loading optimized defaults. Legacy USB support is on, as always.

    I made a thread specifically for the USB issue, as I can't figure it out. External hard drives work fine, whereas my little flash drives cause a complete lock up. How strange...


    EDIT: I updated the BIOS using a FAT32 partition of my HDD, and the USB lock up problem has been fixed. Hooray! Both DVD drive and USB problem fixed in the same day. Thanks.
