Not all C1's can do 4GHz without alot of Vcore. Aim for 3.6GHz first, then progress to 3.8GHz, then keep trying to move up. 4GHz at the very least is going to take some major tweaking.

Man my machine is blazing fast... Its running at 3.4 ghz now with easy tune 6 :D all i need is in this 1 amazing program!!
    >.< Its stable too... the ram is running at native speed and im happy :D 1600 fsb is all i need
i know the ram is capable of higher timings but i dont need to add more volts to anything.. everything is on stock voltage!

Everything is on auto voltage unless you set it manually. When you overclock with easy tun e it adjusts voltages istelf. Look at the advanced voltage tab to see what it's set. It could well be setting dangerously high values.

Easytune is a rubbish program IMO. There's nothing it can't do that you could in the BIOS, with lower voltages and tighter timings.

Well my cpu is running at 27celsius while overclocked to 3.2ghz using easytune 6... i cant complain about the program its more of a technician than me. And on top of that i hear you can oc to 3.4/3.6 quite comfortably using this program... given u have capable hardware.
This program is a winner for me. I was unable to oc to 3.2ghz stable in bios but this auto configured OC is well worth it.
farewell for now i guess.. thanks for your replies

    EP45T_UD3P!:
Good to hear that it's working out for you. While both are good units, the VX550 is a better PSU than the EA650 although I think that you don't/won't need all that much wattage unless you're doing/planning on Crossfire/multi GPU configuration. I know some people who run 4+GHz rigs 24/7 on just 400W supplies. Some even CF/SLI on them. Ripple suppression and amps are more important than total watts IMHO.
I have installed EasyTune before and I have to agree with Psycho101 in that it's lousy for OC. All I use it for is to check for the estimated voltages I might need at certain speeds. Yeah, I'm that lazy to test each and every possibility, but I'm also aware that easy isn't a good thing in most cases. If I were you, I'd write down the settings given in ET6 and enter them manually in CMOS, taking note to back down on certain critical entries, CPU PLL voltage comes to mind.

Post an ET6 screen-shot using TUNER tab --> ADVANCE tab --> VOLTAGE tab.
This will tell us if any of the voltage settings are too high.

Looks good from here. The MCH Core and CPU PLL voltages maybe a bit on the high side though.

that's the problem with ET6. You could have that overclock on stock PLL voltage. Personally I'd go manual. You have the basis of the correct settings from the ET6 voltage tabs, so why not enter it manually?

As you have a C1 you may or may not be able to lower Vcore. It depends on the quality of your particular CPU.
