Default My EX58-UD3R Overclock (stuck at 200bclk)

So it's your basic story i7 920 with high end air cooling (Scythe Mugen 2).

    Here's what I tried.

    CPU multi @ 15x
    BCLK @ 220
QPI @ 36 (also tried slow)
    RAM @ 6x (ram is GSKill F3 1333mhz)
    Uncore @ 13x
    cpu vcore @ 1.35
    QPI VTT @ 1.5
    ram VTT @ 1.6

This results in a no post.

    4ghz works though:
    CPU multi @ 20x
    BCLK @ 200
    QPI @ 36
    RAM @ 6x (ram is GSKill F3 1333mhz)
    Uncore @ 13x
    cpu vcore @ 1.35
    QPI VTT @ 1.5
    ram VTT @ 1.6

    Tips and tricks?

Try to lower your memory multi to 6x and Uncore to 12x

uncore 12 is a no boot.

is there a voltage tweak specifically for the uncore?

I believe Uncore voltage is QPI VTT, and should be kept within 0.5V of VDIMM.

after doing more investigating, I tried upping the uncore multiplier and that was actually very succesfful.

    So uncore's not a problem.

But my QPI is. It's at 7.2 (3600 in CPUID) that works fine, but 7.4 locks up detecting drives and more than that just won't boot.

I've tried pushing the QPI VTT up to 1.56 but it's a no go.

I bumped the IOH to 1.25 hoping that would help, no such luck.

The thing is 7.2 on my QPI is stable at 1.4v so you'd think I could give it 1.45, 1.5, 1.55 and get somewhere, but it doesn't appear to be so.

Obviously if this is the limit of my proc or mobo then so be it, I just hate to leaver perfomance on the table and it seems like my cpu's aren't quite done at 4.2ghz.
