Yes, still using the settings I posted before for 4.3GHz (turbo).

Don't use E|T6 for checking speed, use CPU-Z, it's much more reliable. The 6GHz is just a visual bug, nothing to worry about.

Unless you want to go full out BIOS OC'ing (my prefered way) you likely are at a sticking point. It may also be that you've reached the limit of your CPU. Terminal instability and an excessive need for Vcore/rise in heat inversly proportional to clock increase usually means you're near the end limit, or a little beyond the safe end limit.

Thats what I figured, thanks for confirming Psycho101!

Also, I noticed the only program which has no problems reading actual speeds, to be ET6. Even CPU-Z doesn't show proper speeds some of the time. But I don't mind not knowing exactly what speed everything is going.

All programs can and will have visual discrepancies at very high clocks, this is perfectly normal.

I still have not given up on getting more since I don't feel I have hit the ceiling yet.

Ya I have seen everest tell me my i7 was running at 285 Blck and I have also seen CPU-z show 348 Blck and 47 Multi, so all very normal at high speeds

Well, it looks like CIA2 is not as refined as I would like. Although it tries to OC dynamically, it does not seem successful. I still have tons of work to do on my PC, but IBT is not as speedy unless I manually adjust clocks. At 4.3CIA2, I was only able to get about 25Gflops in 35 sec. Manually set to 4.2 yeilds much better results. Still experimenting but will update soon.

Hopefully once I get 4.4 stable, I can verify settings with more experienced users.

Sounds like the kind off issues with IBT that I've seen too. For me it was down to Vcore. What seemed stable in Prime 95 for 24 hours needed a bit more voltage. My quad would get 32GFlops @3.4GHz but with a Vcore increase would manage ~44Gflops.

Another effect of the increased vcore was that the itterations in Prime were being completed in a more synchronized way at the higher voltage. I'm sure with enough time, the lower volt config would have been proven unstable. Maybe at 48 hours, or 72 hours or maybe even 24 hours and 1 minute.

Keep up the good work. If you can't get CIA2 to behave, then setting 4.3GHz-4.4GHz manually is a pretty good consolation.

New BIOS means more work for me.

    At 4.32GHz for now.

    Maybe I'll finish someday.....
