Thread: eSata?

    Default eSata?

    Hello everyone,

I'm new here and a new pc builder to boot. So I'm really lost about most things!

I have a question about the sata cable coming out of the inside front of my Antec Sonata III case along with the USB cable and sound cable

Also I have a Gigabyte EX58 UD5 and it also comes with a bracket that has a port labeled eSata, power, eSata.

What is all this stuff and what does it do? And where to I hook it up if I need it?

Cables from the front go to USB headers on the bpard. Consult the manual for palcement and make sure you hook them up correctly. ESata is External SATA drives. Different cable ends. These are very basic and simple questions. Search engines would find the answer in seconds.
