Default MA790XT-UD4P and new nvidia 275 help

I just installed a new video card, EVGA GTX 275, and just after the normal gigabyte boot screen all that shows up is a black screen with a blinking cursor in the top left corner. I have plenty of power for my set up(650w). I can get to the BIOS but if i try and do anything else i get nothing. any help would be great, thanks.

Did your power supply come with the dual 6pin connectors for your video card? Do you have a power supply with multiple 12v rails? If so did you plug each of the 6pin connectors in different 12v rails?

Ya, I have two six pin connectors and multiple 12v rails. I have tried it on different rails.
