Default How I fixed ex-58 ud3r endless power cycle/reboot cycle

Anybody who is having trouble with a gigabyte board rebooting/restarting endlessly for no apparent reason and have tried everything, i may have the answer. With the help of Grnkjr0 , Thorn, Qwertylesh, achelon, genec57, OVERSHOCKED from Tom's Hardware, my problem is now gone.

    1. i disconnected leads going from the mobo to the case such as case fans, Top or Front USB ports, u get the idea.

    2. instead of using the fan connections on the motherboard like the ones that say sysfan1 sysfan2 pwrfan1 pwrfan2, u get the idea, only ones hooked up the mobo are the cpu cooler fans. Rest of em directly to the PSU.

    3. Thats it. I have tried everything to solve this and looked everywhere. There are a few threads you can view by typing ex58 ud3r for more info. This cured my huge headache and can now sleep good at night. I hope it fixes everyone elses problems too. I dont believe there is a useful thread clearly stating how this is fixed. give it a shot . Let us know how it works out. Dbee.

Guess it didn't work for anyone... Just changed up some settings to take me past 4ghz a and its repeating once again. It usually comes back up after 5 or so cycles, but not now... The above post seemed to cure the issue of me passing a 172blck. Just tried booting with a 190x21 =3990. Now im beginning to worry, its been about 30 cycles.

Improper bios settings are probably causing your problems.
With your cpu off, turn off the psu switch and unplug your AC power cable from the psu. Clear your cmos for 10 seconds or longer. Wait 5 - 15 minutes and then power up your system.
If your system posts without any problems, go into the bios and load optimized settings, then save settings and exit. Re-enter the bios and set "known good" settings.

You might need to initially boot with only one memory module installed.
