if you have heatpipe cooler like akasa nero or noctua i read sumwhere its best results if you apply strips of tmp to the alloy on the bottom and leave the copper heatpipe contacts bare

lol running a prime test now - currently at 89c using 191x21 w/ 1.488vcore and 1.5qpi HT ON. I could never get it to run this long til i used some settings provided courtesy of Kenestra, which he got from LSD. Anybody know where LSD is anyway?

Ill post a screen once it gets through with the first round. Im ready to dump this thing ...90c!!! wtf?!?! This thing is voltage hungry. Before i could hardly get it steady at 4.011 with HT OFF. So this is some improvement, at least in getting past 4ghz w/ HT on.

i was seriously considering getting a D0 , then i read a bit more on the 32nm chips. im gonna bet ill be in the same situation and get a "G0" 32nm chip that doesn't run as cool and efficiently as the new "H0's" being released next month.

The above comment of 32nm chip steppings is only theoretical .

Hey all, been doing TONS of stressing, its really stressing me out. Question and comment here is RealTemp sometimes reads 5c jumps on certain cores as well as 5c drops, more commonly when temps begin to peak. Example, i see core 1 reading 67 sometimes jumping back and forth to 72, 73, back down to 66, 67. This also happens more frequently on core 3, but not 2 and 4.

Anybody experience this, or know if it is normal? Im gonna do a reseat tonite of my noctua and give the two line method a shot first as well as examine the TIM pattern left behind from the original seat.

How many times do you guys normally reseat? Only when you see a big problem? or say maybe what some of us may call fun.

Remember, i use the noctua se1366 and AS5 paste on the i7 C0. Anybody have suggestions to this particualr combo? It is currently mounted horizontally with 2 scythe 110cfm fans push pull and im just not happy with 75c on this particualr setup with supposedly the best i7 cooler, excellent thermal paste, and even better overall case cooling.

All suggestions, comments, and insults are welcome. Thanks All!
