Ya, Sounds like it is capped at 1.5, but wonder why the additional setting past that? I mean even if it should be capped at 1.5 there shouldn't be an additional entry after that.

Maybe it should go to 1.55 and the extra 1.48 is a bug?

This is the latest BIOS right? Did you check or notice if all BIOS were capped like that, and or had the same 2x 1.48 error?

No unfortunately i have not, never took qpi past 1.2 with my original bios. Maybe ill make a post concerning this.

Error 124 is too much/not enough qpi, You think its anyway possible that im giving it too much qpi?? I really dont think so because upping to 1.36 has got me 100 % stability with my current settings.

By the way, i was also able to knock my ram voltage down to 1.64 from its previous 1.66. That makes me feel much better.

I doubt it is too much QPI/Vtt, but could be. Again though, I doubt it. You are using x36 QPI not x44 right? You may want to try x44 as well now that I mention that, as long as it still keeps the QPI under 8.0GT/s

Yes i am currently using the 36x qpi multi which puts me at either 7.02 or 7.2gt/s . Are there any risks of crossing that 8gt/s? Could increasing IOH core voltage from its stock value of 1.1 help at all? We never really discussed this voltage and what it could do for me.

No risks, you just cannot without PCIE over 103 is all. So sounds like you need to leave at x36 anyway.

Yes, I always run 1.2-1.24 IOH, and higher QPI PLL and ICH Voltages as well

    I would increase IOH

I had to redo my OC's coming from F3 BIOS, and with F7 I am stable (linx) with:

(everything on auto except these settings in BIOS + LLC on)
    200x20 with: CPU:1.3875 - VTT:1.295 - IOH 1.28 - RAM:1.66
    200x19 with: CPU:1.3125 - VTT:1.295 - IOH 1.28 - RAM:1.66
    190x21 with: CPU:1.3500 - VTT:1.275 - IOH 1.26 - RAM:1.64

What's wierd is that I used to have to play around with all the other voltages to get stable with older BIOS's (QPI, ICH,....). With this one it's more about the main M.I.T page voltages apparently....

Very useful to me once again C3D . Nicely done with the voltages on each OC. Ill see what i can do with this later today.

Now, on the main BIOS thread, it used to show a F7 , now it shows in the previous beta bios thread F7a, f7b, f7c, f7e

any idea where the non-beta F7 went? Or would it be the F7a?

F7 final would have been posted on the Gigabyte Main page for your board, often Stasio may not post or keep Final BIOS's. I see F8a posted for your board as latest beta, and I do suggest it myself.

If you would like F7 Final for some reason, it is posted on your Gigabyte Download page

    You're welcome dbee :)

I forgot to add this to my last post #86
    -QPI multi: x36
    -uncore: x16/17 (x16 @ 200bclk with those voltages)
-mem: 2:8 + manual timings (main M.I.T page only)
All else is at "Load Optimized defaults" BIOS values...

p.s. I'm only using F7 BIOS because F8 has the logitech g15 bug (which I have). I would use it otherwise....

LSD, thats weird i have not seen F7 on the gigabyte page. Maybe because i been going to gigabyte.us website and its not listed... Just looked now and its not on the .us site , however is indeed on the .com.tw site.

Both you suggest F8a, im gonna go with that . You make it sound very sexy C3D. And what is the logitech G15 bug, i almost bought that keyboard for the LCD , but preferred losing the LCD to get the blue color scheme which matches everything i have very nicely.

Would any of you happen to know the improvements made to F8a ? I really wish Stasio could give a brief explanation of what has been altered.

Also, by flashing to F8, maybe we can see if it cures that qpi voltage bug we talked about LSD.

    Thanks a ton guys.
