    S3 resume from sleep will not work until your system is 100% Fully stable, with your own manual settings.

    Please give me your full settings you are using now and I will advise back, template in my signature for BIOS settings.

    Ohh! Well there is the problem right there, you can't just run a overclock on Auto for a few reasons. It wont always (Generally) be stable, and you can kill your CPU like that.

    That's not a huge overclock so I wouldn't worry about having hurt your CPU but you need to set things manually, and you will have to test and tweak until things are 100% stable with Prime95/Orthos and Memtest86+ before S3 is going to work for you

    Please read the guide for overclocking, I know it is not for P45, but it will give you some general tweaking and testing knowledge so you can try to get stable.

    Spec sheet shows 127.5ns for tRFC, that's 68 for DDR-1066.

    Do I have to use the values off the spec sheet or are they variable?

    Where can I get the spec sheet?

    The spec values are "safe", lower values might work but need to be tested throughly, sometimes higher values may be required.

    Other timings that do not show in the PDF you can see with MemSet's spd (cycles for specific speeds) or with SPDTool (time), both can be found in the programs sticky.

    Hi there!

    Sorry for not getting back to you sooner, can only access the internet at work as BT still can't sort out the access at my home.
    I got on okay, applied the tighter timings from the range you suggested last time around and booted successfully. Was stable for the whole test period of an hour and a half but still wouldn't cope with S3 sleep. I knocked the FSB back to 333MHz and upped the multiplier to 9x, matching the memory latch at 333MHz and fixed the speed with the memory multiplier to 1066MHz too. This was also stable and did suspend to RAM (S3). Only gives me 3.00GHz which isn't very significant. When I put the multiplier up to 10x I can't get past the Windows boot screen, on either Vista or Windows 7. Don't know what to change first to try get a little further?
