    At 3.16GHz my IBT results were 20.8918, scaling this to 2.83GHz it's 18.73, times two (you have twice cores) is 37.45 GFlops, so the 36 looks right, 21-22 looks like the result for 2 cores only.

    so should I redo the test and set threads manually to 4 instead of auto (Cause I run all the tests on auto)? I assume setting it to 4 would mean 4 cores cause I have the Q9550 and isnt that 1 thread per core?

    thanx again guys ^^

    Should be 4 threads, you can check with task manager that all CPUs are loaded, perheps the 2GB limit on 32bit XP causing degredation when runnung 4 threads.

    Great thread. I was in the same situation back in April and figured it out myself. It took a lot of reboots, lol.

    Ok so ran IBT 10 runs again maximum stress and set it to 4 threads manually and this looks more normal-

    Yes this look right, I guess you can't realy expect quads to double duals results because they still share the memory bendwidth.

    Quick question, I ran SuperPi mod doing the 1M-32M tests and wondering, what do I do with my results and what do I compare them to to see how my performance is?

    thanx :)

    @Brigs
    I'm envious, your GFlops are about 55% higher than my C2D @3.44GHz and 4GB of ram that is tested at 2047MB due to my 32-bit operating system.

    I save screen-shot's of my SuperPI results and then compare the results with similar screen-shots with different overclock settings. With my current o/c, my times are about 67% of the times at non-o/c'd settings.

    Ya I can only use 2047MB of memory also cause I run XP pro too. So, what I did was save a screenshot of the final image after all the tests where run, I didnt save one of all 21 loops in each test, just the final one. Im not sure if thats what I wanted to save a shot of or not is the final number? I'm guessing that the lower the number in time the better eh? here is the screenshot~
