Well good news, I just ran IBT; Didnt use "standard" mode, I just used custome mode and used the maximum amout of ram available. then did 10 runs and all passed perfect with the Core Voltage not exceeding 68c.

I also did memtest86+ earlier and ran for 19 hours at 31 passes with no errors.

So, does this mean my system is stable and I can try the 2x2 GB of 1066 ram now, or should I run more tests on my current 2x1 GB 800Mhz ram in my computer right now before installing the 1066?

    thanx again guys 8)

every thing sounds good to me I would try putting both sticks of the 1066 ram back in make sure you check the timings and voltages are set correct for that ram and run both test again the same way and see if you get the same results. if it does fail those test you may have to up Mch up a notch at a time till it passes.

Little update I ran 3dmark06 about a half hour ago and my computer froze during test. I dont quite understand because IBT passed just fine on 10 runs and Memtest86+ passed at 19 hours with 31 passes just fine. Anyone know why 3dmark06 froze up during test?

I then ran a second test and it didnt freeze, was just fine, idk whats goin on?

Core Temp says I am idling at 46c atm, hope thats ok. Not sure if any of this has to do with heat in my case needing more cooling or my upstairs room where my computer is being quite warm and AC off, or what?

    thanx in advance ^^

Random freezes could be anything from drivers to programs, ect. You would need to look through the event viewer log and see if you can find any errors mentioned at that exact time to even begin to try to figure it out.

Freezing during a 3D test could mean you need more NB Voltage, or higher SB Voltages, it could also mean your cards settings If overclocked is failing.

thanx for the reply 8) Well I guess I'll just run 3DMark06 every now and again to see if it freezes, if it does Ill check the event viewer and see if I can see what the error is. My GPU is stock non-OC'd. Does my Core temp sound ok idling between 40-44c?

Also not sure what NB and SB voltage is, a quick discription would be cool ^^

So, is it safe to say my system is stable or should I run Prime95 for awhile or linX? Or am I gtg? If I'm gtg I'll install my 2x2 1066 ram and run tests on it next ^^

    thnx in advance 8)

P.S. when my ram says voltage rating of like 1.8v-2.0v, and my BIOS DRAM voltage is stock at 1.8v, is it ok to leave it at that, or is it best to raise it to the max voltage that the ram is spec'd for like 2.0v?

idle temp is nothing to worry about only max load. If you bought the 1066 ram for this build I would be tring to get them to work in it. As far as volte for the ram. I would set it to atleast 1.9 or 2.0. may even need up to 2.1 if thats the voltage for 1066 ram. nb voltage is North bridge or McH voltage in bios. for 2x2gb ram tipical voltage is 1.2-1.26 some may need up to 1.3 to be stable depending on ram. SB south bridge or ICH core in bios. set at 1.1 or maybe 1.2.

Yes as said above you need to set your ram voltage manually higher, it may or may not need the full rated spec but this could be the cause of your issues if you are running 1066 with only 1.8V

MCH Voltage is the northbridge and ICH is the south bridge

Last settings he posted DRAM Voltage was 2.0v and MCH Core 1.2v.
Perheps 2.05-2.1v DRAM Voltage first then 1.22-1.24v MCH Core if DRAM Voltage doesn't solve it.

Cool thanx again guys. I was just running a pre 8 hour test foor Prime95 Blend test and let it run for only 8 hours; No errors, my core temp was running about 70c. This was just a pre test to see how prime95 would go. But anyway, this morning it was still goin along just fine and I decided to start doing some other stuff on my computer while it was running and it froze up when I did. So, am I not supposed to be doing other stuff on the computer while it is running and just leave it alone till I stop it?

    thx again all 8)

    Nah that's even better stress.
It's a quad but I think 70c is still high for p95 at stock speed, you're not overclocked are you?
