    Hi there, thanks for your reply,

    My current settings are as follows.
    cpu vcore = 1.325
    qpi/vtt +1.32

    qpi pll = 1.18
    ioh core = 1.16

    dram = 1.66

    everything else is auto

    I've been dropping the voltages back a notch at a time and I'm still stable on prime 95 for a couple of minutes but I'm hitting 94c on one of my cores and then I stop it. I do renderings and it doesnt usually hit greater than mid 80's with cinebench but I'd like to take it lower. I can drop my bclk down I guess and then lower a voltage. Where will I get the best bang for my buck with voltage drop? I mean temp wise? does the qpi dll and the ioh core drop temps that much if I lower them?

    my mem is underclocked to 1200mhz. If I keep dropping the qpi vtt, it might be stable now, but If I try to run at the rated 1333 or higher to 1600 then I'll probably run into stability issues with the qpi vtt being low right?

    I've got a tuniq tower on the chip that I retrofitted from my 775 rig. It's probably not the best.

    if i were you id ditch that cooler and go for the thermalright true or true extreme,its that fastest way to drop temps ,if you have a D0 chip for 4ghz cpu v is usually around 1.25-1.28v for a C0 a bit higher.your voltages look ok to me so i would say its your cooler

    how critical are the qpi pll and the ioh core to stability?
    do they really up the temps?

    can I drop them and will it make a difference?

    no they dont alter temps,the main temp voltages are qpi and cpu v,youll see a big difference 10c with a thermalright true or a noctua heatsink

    just keep lowering your cpu v one click at a time n test till either it freezes/blue screens or it gets to hot,same with qpi v

    I got it stable at 3.8ghz. Good enough for me. temps are somewhat high but acceptable at the tasks that I usually run them.

    you have a D0 chip? see if you can run on 1.18750 cpu voltage for 3.8ghz

    Yeap, 124 BSOD is QPI/Vtt, often too low.

    Try these and see how you get along.

    Note my mention of Fail Safe, you are using that so it's probably part of your issues.

    Hey guys I'm new to the forum and I turn to you can not maintain stable pq oc my pc I hope you can help me with this dilemma
    this is my pc
    core i7 920 C0 + hyper 212 plus + Ga x-58 UD4P bios f13 + 6GB corsair dominator 1600MHz + Gtx470 + windows 7 64 bit

    I arrived earlier attempt to 4GH in the pc but can not be maintained even in windows q without crashing or resets me
    Now in 3.8 I have achieved at least run the test at least brun intel high and not hang me but the temp are normal unloaded d fear is between 48 and 51c full but is close to 93C and a say in setting ne to the maximum the intel burn test 99c easy
    well this is what I did in the bios
