Where did you find the Windows 7 RAID/AHCI drivers? Can you link me to them?

I just used the x64 or x86 drivers located on the cd that came with the motherboard. They work for vista.

Thanks! Although now I cant even install w7 x64 at all, even with native IDE. Very very aggravating.

You should go into bios and set optimized defaults.
I use Windows XP and it all works for me. I have Windows 7 on the small IDE drive. It's a beta anyhow.

No worries - it's all good. After 4 days of random errors I finally found out it was a bad stick of ram. W7 x64 is finally installed with no hiccups, and i'm using those x64 drivers you pointed to earlier. Very easy to get ahci working now.

Set to native IDE. install windows, install ahci drivers, change bios to ahci and reboot. voila!

Thank you kindly for all your help!

A bad stick? Who would have known? I am glad you found the problem? Now I know how? I will switch when the prerelease version Windows 7 arrives.
