Default Ethernet teaming? Is it worth it?

Not really sure about ethernet teaming, does it improve download/upload speeds or surfing the internet? Is it worth it?
    Thanks

The first question to ask is is it at all possible?
Upload may work without infrastructure support, download need a switch that supports load balancing.
Second is what is your internet connection speed compared to the NIC capabilities?
Certain applications need higher bandwidth than a single Gb NIC can provide. HDTV uncompressed data for example needs about 160MB/s to play smoothly, where a single Gb NIC is theoratically capabale of delivering only about 102MB/s. I doubt any home/office targeted hardware will actually be able to provide that speed.

You must have the right hardware and environment anyway, it is not as simple just hooking up two Ethernet connections. Teaming is for Intranet use, not internet use.
