    Did you plug your 24pins and 8pins?
    Try to assemble your computer out of the case
    just plug your cpu, one ram, one hdd, vga
    don't forget to reseat everything specially your cpu cooler
    Clear your cmos too

    This tells me that you're running with "Fail-Safe" bios defaults loaded.

    For a stable system, you must first load OPTIMIEZED Bios Settings, save settings and exit, then re-enter the bios to make any needed bios changes.

    **edit**
    Include a screenshot that displays:
    Memset using the SPD and ">>" tabs
    cpu-z CPU and Mainboard screens (several instances can be run at the same time)
    EasyTune6 --> TUNER tab --> ADVANCE tab --> VOLTAGE tab (only the Voltage tab is needed)
    CoreTemp screen [for your cpu's VID (Voltage ID)]

    thanks profjim for the advice. after loading optimized defaults and saving then reentering bios my system was up and running for over 6 hours and then shut down out of nowhere while i was browsing the internet.

    anymore ideas?

    Loading optimized bios settings is only the first step.
    Using the suggested settings in this post has fixed many problems for many forum members and is the starting point for a stable system before doing any tweaking or overclocking.
    In your next post, include the suggested screen-shot in post #13 along with your latest bios template. Make sure that your memory is set to its rated 4-4-4-12 memory timings and that DRAM Voltage is set to 2.10 volts or possibly 2.20 volts.
    MCH Core Voltage might need to be set up to 1.24 volts for stability. If this setting isn't properly set, you can have instability or boot loop problems.

    thank you for advice my system is getting to be more stable now. 12 hours this time. I started the party way too soon installed windows 7 ultimate set everything up the way i want it and then ....shut down. The manufacturer of the ram says the memory timing should be 4-4-4-12. But the motherboard shows 5-5-5-12. This motherboard is not the only one. If you look at the first couple of reviews, people on newegg and their hardware seems to be showing the same thing as my mobo, 5-5-5-12. False advertising on Patriots side? Anyway i set it to 4-4-4-12 as you suggested.

    No.
    If you look at the SPD window you can see that the standard JEDEC profile #0 has 5-5-5-12 timings, this sould work with any motherboard.

    EPP profile #0 has timing 4-4-4-12. Not all motherboards support EPP profiles. If you have set XMP to auto or profile1 the motherboard would show the correct timings.

    Many memory models do not have EPP at all, and the advertised low latency/high speed must be set manually even if the motherboard supports EPP profiles.

    Your memory is rated to run at 2.10 - 2.20 volts if needed. With 4-4-4-12 primary memory timings, the SPD in your screen-shot shows that 2.10 volts is needed, possibly up to 2.20 volts. Don't worry about the the RED color in your bios at 2.10 volts, it's GB's way of protecting you from yourself, as many newer memory modules are only rated to run with lower voltage settings.

    Sometimes your bios will undervolt the memory timings a little. You can use the bios PC HEALTH screen to see what voltage has been applied. Sometimes you might do better to set your memory voltage one step higher, such as 2.12 volts instead of 2.10 volts.

    Heres a little update, Computer still turning off on its own.

    I tried all sorts of voltage for the ram it seems like 2.10, 2.12 lets it stay on the longest.

    -2.16, it started it turning off on me about 4 hours in and gets faster every time i turn it on.

    -2.20 worked for a while but after it turned off, it started looping.


    Any other ideas?

    What gets "faster" each time you turn it on? Do you mean that the sudden shutdowns occur sooner?

    Your ddr2-800 memory might not need MCH Core set to 1.24 volts.
    See if there's any improvement with 1.20 - 1.22 volts.

    Manually set tRD (Static tRead Value aka "Performance Level" in Memset) to 6 for each memory channel (A & B).
    If your system won't boot with this setting, set each memory channel to 7.
