Tried less than 2.1v DRAM Voltage? Are the modules heating up much?

Yes that is what i meant. They are occurring sooner. I changed the mch and trd settings like you said. after i changed to mch to 1.22 the computer turned off with an hour. after changing it to 1.20 it turned off within 5 min of logging into windows

    any more ideas?

Try Chike's suggestion to lower DRAM Voltage at bit.
After you've found the optimal memory voltage, see if increasing MCH Core voltage one setting higher helps.

Have you defragmented your hard drive recently?
Have you checked to see if there are any registry errors?
Describe the sudden shutdowns....BSOD? System freeze? Instant Reboot?
Does this happen with both operating systems? Win 7 only? Ubuntu?

Try to uninstall your anti virus if you have
Your last option is assemble your computer out of the case. Just plug one hdd one ram , video card and your processor make sure you reseat all sata data cables and power cables

If possible do a fresh installation again

I have a spare set of ddr2's lying around so i plugged em in.

    they are

    OCZ Technology | Products | Memory | OCZ DDR2 PC2-6400 SLI-Ready Edition 4GB Dual Channel

or you can look at em here

    Newegg.com - OCZ SLI-Ready Edition 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model OCZ2N800SR4GK - Desktop Memory

i manually plugged in the values 5-4-4-15 with dram voltage 2.10 because the bios was reading 6-6-6-18 at 1.80.

what do you think ? i cleared cmos first becuase when i put 2 of them in at the same time the system kept rebooting(looping). So i put 1 stick in. Loaded optimized defaults. Then put the other stick in. Up and running for now.

what do you think ? if it shuts down on me again i will seriously flip.

I put all settings as they were before. Vcore at 1.35, MCH at 1.20 and so on .

to answer some of profjim's questions.

    1. I have defragged my hard drive about 2 days ago.
    2. I use cc cleaner to check for registry errors and nothing serious shows up.
3.The question about the sudden shutdowns. Imagine pulling the power cord out of your PSU. That's what happens.
    4. And yes it does happen on both operating system.s

Keep in mind that MCH Core settings can vary with different ram, even if it is the same speed.
Memory voltage can go up to 2.20 volts if necessary.
Post a screen-shot with the SPD profile for your OCZ ram.
If you're still having issues, don't flip out, post another complete screen-shot like you did in post #16.
