OK im still having issues, my memtests came up clean. My voltage is set to 2.1 but some you are stating that really doesnt make a difference.

The computer has rebooted from a bugcheck. The bugcheck was: 0x00000109 (0xa3a039d89964f5bb, 0xb3b7465eebe32fcd, 0xfffff880009f2540, 0x0000000000000002). A dump was saved in: C:\Windows\MEMORY.DMP. Report Id: 091009-36675-01.

I can change more settings but im more currious as to why im having issues that require tweaking? I am not tring to overclock, just trying to have a stable system. I bought this board because it was highly recommended off newegg and the corsair memory was also highly utilized. I would expect more people to be having the same issues as I am having since I purchaced very popular items.

What is upping the voltage on the MCH core going to do?

    Thanks

"Up to 16GB of ram" advertized does not even mean anyone have ever tested it.
When a manufacturer sell a kit as a pair it means it was tested as apair, G.Skill for example makes it quite clear that it only guarantee a pait to operate a specified rate.
Default BIOS settings can not aim for all possible hardware combinations, therefore often some tweaking is needed to get it working.

The MCH (memory cntroller hub,) the NorthBridge is the component that connects between the memory and grphics card to the CPU. Often with larger amounts of memory it's voltage needs to be higher than the default set in BIOS. In less common cases less MCH Core voltage need to be set.

8GB of ram is not going to run at 1066Mhz within normal voltage ranges, maybe not even with extreme ones.

I do suggest you clock them down to 900-1000 and raise your MCH Still, I suggest 1.24 for 4GB of ram so you may need 1.24-1.3 or so

    Thanks for your help

Through running alot more memory tests I found that port 1 on the motherboard was bad.

computer completly stable with memory in any of the other 3 ports but all sorts of memory errors in port 1 only.

    thanks for your assistance.

    Newegg is great for RMA's.

Be sure to post back and let us know how the new board works for you!

Good luck, hope it all works out with the new board!
