    EIST + C1E + C2/C2E + C4/C4E should be left disabled while overclocking and stability testing. You can enable these settings and see if they result in lower temperatures and cpu frequencies when your system is idle or under low cpu loading. As usual, you'll need to repeat stability testing.
    Your correct, I did not see any reduction in the core temps when these were enabled. Makes you wonder what IS the benefit?

    Looks like this thing will run stable at 3.9GHz with the current settings! However, I have dropped back to 3.4GHz because of the sleep/wake-up issue. I am ready to go spend $200 to upgrade the video card to an ATI 4890 powered card. Talk about catching the bug! Do you or anybody looking in know/think/speculate that this will allow the system to wake-up at something faster that the magic 3.4GHz?

    Couldn't figure how with mine, thoughtthe BIOS update fixed it but it did not, so instead of sleep I put it to hybernation.

    I don't know if you were following the FDa beta BIOS thread but I finally bit the bullet and went to the FDa BIOS ...and... suddenly the system wakes up at 8.5X440 or 3.74GHz. The wake up fails at 441X8.5!! So I guess the new BIOS allowed an incease from 400 to 440 (nice round numbers?) before trouble sets in. Any ideas - I'm am using the same settings that were stable at 3.9GHz.

    It's possible that the wake from sleep issue at 441 FSB might not occur at slightly higher speeds. Have you tried 444, 445 or 450 settings?
    I don't know if upgrading your video card will help or hinder wake from sleep issues. Overclocking a video card or using different drivers might aggravate waking from sleep.

    Conners caught the o/c bug when he went from 3.6 to 3.8GHz. Maybe he can give his evaluation about the benefits when using higher overclocks.
    Keep in mind that future bios versions might do even better with fixing wake from sleep issues.

    With your stable 3.90 setup, how many different stability tests did you run and how long was each test run?

    Tried all of the above. Backed it down from 450 and finally got to 440 as the magic number. I'll have to go back to the 3.9GHz settings and run an extended stability test just to reassure everyone that it is stable. At this point I've given up on the video card idea. Actually, I'm ok with the 3.7GHz its just the thrill of the unknown!

    HELP Needed! The good news is the FDa BIOS allows the system to wake up at 3.7 GHz, the bad news is the system is unstable at 3.9 GHz. Best as I can remember it was running at 3.9GHz - now it won't even boot at 459 FSB or 3.9 GHz?! Attached is my latest BIOS settings and a screen display to prove that it runs Prime95 for 12+hours at 3.8GHz. I guess you were right when you seem to indicate it may be on the ragged edge of stability. Any suggestions on what settings I should play with to get back to a stable 3.9 GHz. I tried increasing the Vcore to 1.31875V, the CPU Termination to 1.24V, the CPU PLL to 1.57V and the Dram to 2.04V - did not seem to do anything that was consistant - in fact I think I was going backwards!!!

    This is what I am using for 3.91 GHz. Try em if you like, altho you may need to adjust the memory timings and advanced memory timings for your ram. G/L

    When you flash to a new bios versions, your formerly stable bios settings may not be fully stable with the new bios.
    Conner's settings work for him, but that doesn't mean that his settings will automatically work for you, even if both of you have identical hardware setups and bios versions.

    There are some subtle differences in both configurations. If your system won't boot, MCH Core voltage that is too high or too low is often the cause. Try increasing it to 1.22 - 1.26 to see if your system will boot.

    You don't have Load Line Calibration enabled, so you might need to increase CPU Vcore one or two clicks.
    To run at 1100MHz memory speeds, DRAM Voltage might need to be increased to 2.04 - 2.08 and possibly 2.10 volts.
    Cpu Reference and MCH Reference settings are a bit trickier, because you're not using the default Cpu Termination (VTT) = 1.20 setting. VTT is important for maintaining stability. It your system boots but isn't stable, try increasing VTT to 1.24 - 1.26. You might need to tweak the Reference volts settings, we'll deal with these later if necessary.

    Don't forget to save your stable setups as saved bios profiles.

    I wouldn't say significant Jim, response seem faster and memory bandwidth a tad. Now from 3.6 to 3.8 was a wow!
