Oops, I misread his email. I thought that's what he said, but clarified in a recent email...

"Not necessarily a fix…but just courtesy parts like fans and other accessories…Fixing or work around will be something you will need to come up with…"

    Nice.

They finally responded to my last email to them...

    "Yeah, I know…I sympathize with your situation…
But my hands are tied in terms what can be done or not.

Hopefully, after the case is replaced, it will work for you."

    Again, nice!

Thanks for the Toms Hardware link. Those test racks look badass!

FWIW, still running open air and everything is working great! No use of the P183 case, no more shorts. :-)

Glad to hear all is well. That damn case is responsible for a lot of hassle.

Have you given any more thought to using a test bench full time? That clear perspex one is the sex! Antec's Skeleton is also a good one, though you do need a lower profile or top down CPU HSF. The newest top-down Noctua's ideal for i7.

So I am lost, are they sending you a new case? Been long enough now, I think you can easily say for SURE the case was killing your boards!

Good point. A replacement should be more than warranted. I'd personally eBay the new one and get something else though.
