    As you're now settled with your DDR-800 for a while I strongly recommend you RMA those G.Skill. Simply tell them something like you have tested an identical kit of someone elses and it works etc etc.

    I'm sure the board is compatible with the modules, so thet just leaves the sticks themselves as the source of the problem. When you get the replacements, try again to get them working. If not, at least you can eBay them safe in the knowledge that they do actually work, just not for you. You can also mail the RMA'd sticks to be if you like, I'll "look after them" for you.

    I'd quit way before, realy nothing to it, you wouldn't notice the difference anyway.
    Do you have any other pc you can try them with? Even if not I think there's ground for RMA.
