    Default Question regarding cold/triple boot

I want to ask you guys, how much time should pass for cold boot to occur. And does it really need some time to pass or the system to be cooled down. Everytime i tried to overclock cold boot occured on my system even though i tried few different BIOS ver. Can you guys recommend me some BIOS ver. that is meant for overclocking and stability regarding the cold boot issue. Also could someone be kind and post exact BIOS settings that avoid the cold/triple boot problem and reverting the settings to default (bios default). Btw i am in testing phase at the moment and my processor current frequency is 3.7 GHZ 1.3 vcore. Thanks in advance

For future referance, note thet a cold boot has nothing to do with temperature.

A cold boot is when you turn the system on initially from a complete power off. To 100% make sure it's a cold boot, you can disconnect the AC for a few minutes first and discharge the +5VSB rail of the PSU by holding the power bitton in for ~10 sec.

A warm boot is where you restart in windows or hit the case reset key. It's called a warm boot because all the time there is still AC flowing to the PSU and DC flowing through the components.

I'm not sure about the LED codes, but I think it has been covered before. Someone else will likely reply with an answer, but in the mean time if you search the forum for something like "X58 LED codes" you should find the info you want right away.

BIOS Debug codes for X58 listed in my signature, FF is normal as long as your screen is not blank
