Balckkatt S3 sleep is fixed in P35 boards, if you are failing to resume you either have a old BIOS, incorrect settings, or something in the OS causing issues.

If you would like me to look at your settings and try to help let me know, no need to bash Gigabyte at all.

Ofc that's not the only reason for my dislike of GigaByte, that would be stupid. And no, it's not fixed! As i said. Ive installed all the hotfixes, I think it's my RAM configuration 4x1GB it has cause problems with other stuff like I can't run my RAM at native 1066Mhz, we talked about this before. And my settings are fine, not much to change really. And as it says on the first page, stuff like the GA-P35-DS3R o S3 will not work above 266MHz o S3 Failed at 1333 FSB, but worked at 800 and 1066 FSB o Replaced E4500 with an Q9300 (works at 1333 and 1600 FSB) Clearly confirms its not fixed at all!!! and btw, i have the latest bios. And RAM memtest86+ for a long time and on-top of that I've run Dell's hardware check (many tests) with absolutely no errors.

Hotfixes? None really apply to S3 sleep, you only need a working BIOS that is known to have S3 sleep corrected in, and 100% fully stable BIOS settings.

Yes 4x1GB could be part of the issue, especially if you do not have it fully stable and are using proper voltages all around to support it.

It is fixed in P35 BIOS, you can't just say your settings are fine and leave it at that and say sleep does not work. You need to let us see if we can advise you on better settings

Dell's hardware check? What does that have to do with a Gigabyte system? :)

Hehe you're funny :) they do apply very much, I give you some examples

You cannot make a computer that is running Windows 7 shut down or sleep

Stop error when you resume a computer that is running Windows 7 or Windows Server 2008 R2 from sleep or from hibernation: "STOP: 0x000000D1"

    and so on...

"Dell's hardware check? What does that have to do with a Gigabyte system?"

Well you talk about incorrect settings, OS causing problems. So I thought ahead and tell you I've already checked does things...and if you mean why use a DELL app on a Gigabyte system, DELL's app check hardware regardless vendor.
There's no settings to change except downclock and some of the things posted on the first page. But I don't want to, i rather not use sleep. I was just agreeing with the other writer. That GigaByte has a lot of problems and there support is Żber crap, and that's a fact.
