Don't get hung up trying to run your ram at its full rated speed.
Your best real world performance will be at somewhat lower memory speeds, where you can use tighter memory timings.
For improved system/memory performance you will need to overclock your cpu speed.

Memory speed = Cpu host freqency X SMP (System Memory Multiplier).

    cpu
(MHz) X SMP = memory speed
    266-----2.00------533 MHz
    266-----2.40------638 MHz
    266-----2.50------667 MHz
    266-----2.66------709 MHz <-- probably not a P35 option
    266-----3.000-----798 MHz
    266-----3.20------533 MHz
    266-----3.33------851 MHz
    266-----4.00+----1064 MHz
    266-----4.00~----1064 MHz
    note: + = 800 strap, ~ = 1066 strap, # = 1333 strap

A mild overclock using cpu speed = 300MHz will yield:
    cpu
(MHz) X SMP = memory speed
    300-----2.00------600 MHz
    300-----2.40------720 MHz
    300-----2.50------750 MHz
    300-----2.66------800 MHz <-- probably not a P35 option
    300-----3.000-----900 MHz
    300-----3.20------960 MHz
    300-----3.33-----1000 MHz
    300-----4.00+----1200 MHz
    300-----4.00~----1200 MHz

Depending on the quality of your cpu and case cooling, your best overall performance will be with cpu = 350 - 375MHz and an appropriate System Memory Multiplier. Naturally you will have to adjust bios settings for complete system stability.

My P35-DS3L backup system easily overclocked my E2140 "super slug" cpu from 1.6GHz to 3.0GHz using 3GB or ram (4 modules).
3.2GHz was the maximum (stable) overclock I tried, but I wasn't comfortable with a 100% overclock for my backup system.
I've been running it with a "conservative" 75% overclock for over 2 years.

    @artdrivers
I've found that download speeds from Europe or Russian Gigabyte websites are much faster than the USA or Asian sites, even though I live on the American left coast.

Ya I missed his post with FSB Mentioned.

Please try using 3.00A memory multiplier for 800Mhz, then if you want more you may need to adjust your FSB to make things easier on ya
