Wow - what a nice tip!
The system seems to be a lot faster.
I changed from qpi 1.1 to 1.25 - I will test the stability.

    Thank you

Still no improvement - systems has no response - even worse than before - I cannot even move the mouse for a while.

System worked quite well before going into screensaver/engerysaver mode.

Main problem seem to be: x9.0 multiplier - is that CPU-Z lowest number? It feels like 0.1 multiplier.

My system is fast while running PRIME95 ... very strange.

    Any more hints?

No, it worked fine for about 30mins -

after dinner the system was in Sleep-Mode (Energysaving).
From that point on i got a lot freezes.
Now i disabled EISD, put 1.6V on DRAM, and stopped Energysaving-Mode.

    I will test...

1h no freeze - thanks a lot for the help - 23x core multiplier. still only 664.6 DRAM frequency - and 1.5V althogh 1.6 in BIOS settings.
2h some freezes again - increasing level of frustration. :(

do you know RAM-checkers which can find errors reliably?

its quite safe to use power saving option in windows 7 and enable eist, you might have just needed a little more qpi voltage or wait till a better bios comes out,i have them enabled at 3.8ghz and it lowers cpu clocks when idle, and when under load playing games ect it switches to full 3.8ghz speed heres some pics to show you

    ^^^^idle

    ^^^^load

    Bios F4

OK, now I enabled EIST and the other two power saving settings again on auto.

    I set QPI/VTT vom 1.25 on 1.35

I cannot change QPI multiplier, settings are QPI link 4,8GHz, Uncore Clock ratio 16x, Uncore Frequency 2133 MHz

I set SPT Multiplier on max. 10.0 > 1333 MHz

I set RAM Voltage from 1.6 on 1.64 (no change in CPU-Z)

System freezes immediately while typing this.

Ok, running Prime95 in the background and everything is fine.

Shall I try latetest Bios F5?

    Update:
Switched to BIOS F5b (Optimal Settings, QPI 1.25, EIST off, C1 off, RAM Voltage 1.6) - One freeze, still testing.

    Update2:
Still the best look and feel. Some (short) freezes. Mostly fast.

i just thought did you have cpu voltage on auto in the bios???? if so change it to the "normal" setting and enable power saving and see if it freezes this time
