Default GA-MA770T-UD3P and Phenom II processor support.

    Hi everyone,

First of all let's say that I'm pretty much a noob at computer building so sorry if this sounds like a silly question.

I'm currently building a new low-medium gaming PC and I want to go with a Gigabyte motherboard this time again. Looking at the specs for the GA-MA770T-UD3P on GB's official site however made me a bit confused. They say that this board supports "AM3 processors...AMD Phenom™ II X4 processor/ AMD Phenom™ II X3 processor". They make no mention of the dual cores Phenom II X2 545 or 550, and I was thinking of going with one of those for my new machine. Am I missing something or does this motherboard only supports triple and quad core processors ? The Phenom II X2 are after all AM3 processors and this board has an AM3 socket so what's the deal ?

    Thank you very much,

    Elheriel.

My 770T came with the F1 BIOS and was a little bit unstable, but it booted fine and I could flash it to F3 with no problems.
I also installed the board in a friend's PC with a Phenom II X3 720 and it worked fine out of the box (his board came with the F2 BIOS).
