Default P55-UD3R/860 need suggested o/c settings

Trying to get a stable O/C on this board...Best is 3.75ghz so far. Not a lot of posts about the p55 based boards as if yet. Using a coolermaster 212+ hyper with 2 fans...still hits 90C at 100% load/500 runs in LinX

    P55-UD3R
    i7 860
    ocz LV1600 ddr3
    Hyper 212+

Any suggested ideas to break 4ghz without hitting 98+C

Unfortunately not many people on this board seem to have this motherboard. Not sure why, just got one myself an enjoying it.

I have it at 3.76 @ 84C Max under full load using LinX 500 runs.
Really want to hit 4ghz.....but it's looking as if I get lucky if I can get 3.8ghz stable and cool enough for 24/7 use. Anything under a 1ghz O/C I tend to see as a failure....Power use and heat seem to take off exponentially after about 3.6 ghz with this particular CPU....regular idle is 32-35C

What vid has your 860? May be you have a "bad" chip...-first revision
    Anyway for 4ghz 182BKL *22
    V CORE 1.38V
    CPU Clock Drive 800mV
    QPI/Vtt Voltage 1.19-1.20v
    DRAM 1.65V
    CPU PLL 1.9V
LOAD LINE CALIBRATION try booth enable and disabled...
See the temperatures, you can try HT(hiper threading) DISABLED to see how much difference is it might be 10 degrees.
    Good luck!

I suggest you use a better cooler to bring temps down

And WOW!! 500 LinX runs is going to KILL your CPU, please keep this to 10-20 and really 10 is all you need

I'd have to agree, 500 runs is WAY over the top.
    Ci7 2600K @4.6Ghz/8Gb Patriot Viper DDR3 1600/Asus Sabertooth P67/EVGA GTX 580/Patriot Torqx 128/1 Tb WD Black
    Ci7 920/6Gb Corsair DDR3 1600mhz/EX58-UD3R/HIS Radeon HD 5870/750Gb Seagate ES.2, 2Tb WD Green
    And several other rigs...

I need to get a better cooler than this cr*ppy CM hyper 212+ before I try again for 4ghz at something less than 80C.

Still need 4 more gb (2x2gb) ram .....Next rebate cycle Oct for OCZ
Still need 58xx video card ...suffering with 8800gt till they arrive

Waiting on amazon for intel x-25m 80gb for boot drive

then It will be a 1/2 way passable PC
