    Hey guys , so I started OCing myself today and just did a small OC to get started; Went to 3.0Ghz, and as I OC I will step it up to 3.2 next then 3.4 and so on, testing as I go. This is a new OC as the previous OC in this thread my memory was only running at 800Mhz, but since I fixed that I am now OCing with ram at 1066Mhz.

    Great news so far; I ran a couple passes of Memtest86+ and passed 0 errors, so I then ran IBT max stress 10 runs and manually set 4 threads and it passed awsome! My GFlops are around 38 now and loops went down to 69. The real good news is my max Core 0 temp only pegged 61c, but was running in the upper 50's most all the time

    So then I just got done running over 3 hours of Prime95 small FFT's and passed great with 0 errors.

    I was then going to run an overnight Large FFT test and then if that passes run an all day Blend tommorow, or is that overkill? Should I just try 3.2Ghz next? Anywho, here is my BIOS template for what I have set everything currently, and its going well! Let me know what y'all think

    I would go ahead and take it up to 3.2 GHz all you should really need to do is raise the multiplier you 8.5, FSB down to 380 MHz, and maybe some vcore. Or if you want to skip 3,2 and go to 3.4 just up your multiplier to 8.5 and maybe some v core. This is what I would.

    Did they remove the 8 CPU Ratio?

    Cool thanx for reply's guys. Well just got done with a 20 hour Prime95 Blend and all passed great 0 errors and my Core 0 didnt even get past 59c, such an incredible temp improvment So, I think I'm done with 3Ghz and gonna pump it to 3.2ghz. Is it ok to leave the FSB at 400 and just do an 8 multi instead of downing fsb? Cause that still gets me 3.2ghz.

    Two other questions~

    - What is the necessary application for using a small FFT test to a Large FFT test and when do I know which one I wanna use before I do a long Blend test?

    -Next, Is it really necessary to run a 20 hour blend after each increase in clock speed? Or is it overkill? Cause I have done Memtest 86+, IBT max stress 10 runs, 4 threads and 20 hour blend Prime95, and I did all that just for the tiny jump up to 3ghz; Was all that necessary? What testing route do you guys take after upping your clock to find stability?

    I would just use the 8.5 multiplter for 3.4 GHz.

    I never run any other stress tests including or small or large FFT, just blend and as far as time I do 8 to 12 hours depending on what I am doing.. If memory has passed I wouldn't run memtest86 either, unless you just want to. But thats just me.

    The less tou mess with FSB is for the better IMO, use the 8.

    A bit of an overkill I think, if you don't change FSB there's no need to run full memtest86+ again, i just run 10 loops of test #2 and a 2 loops of test #5, then 20 minutes of small FFT to make sure settings are not total disaster, run IBT and change settings with ET6 untill it pass and the results look good, reboot make changes in BIOS, run 8+ hours blend and call it stable.
