Hey Conners, do you by any chance have a push-pull setup goin on your V8 HS?

Ya when I do max stress I am only allowed up to 2047MB of memory cause of my XP pro 32bit.

And wow, I wish I could get mine up that high lol

I guess, I don't know exactly. The V8 fan blows to the rear fan and the rear fan pulls it out. Is that push pull? I think my 2 120mm sides and bottom fans helps a lot... If that helps you... Also just a note I trying out a different TIM I hears was really good and testing to see if it is or not...

I guess the push-pull I am thinkin about has the fan on one side of the cooler blowing air across the HS fins and there is a second fan mounted on the opposite side of the cooler that is pulling the air out of the fins and then the air goes out to your exhaust fan. I think Chike has it on his HS that I saw a picture of before.

And... how where ou able to mount 2 120mm fans for exhaust? On the HAF I only see the one spot for 1 120mm fan

Edit: my bad, I see you said you have 2 fans mounted on the side not the rear.. but thanx for reminding me, I have no fans mounted on the side of my case, maybe I should pick up a couple of 120mm fans to mount on the side and see if that helps my temps^^

Nah I have only one push fan on mine, not enough room for a pull fan, the Mugen 2 is quite wide.
The V8 fan is located in the middle, I don't think it's even possible to mount more fans on it.

I suppose the V8 like chike says has only one fan between the two radiators I'd call them, and htend of course the rear case fan. I would guess thats no a true puch pull set up. I do know the two 120mm sides and 120mm bottoms really helps with the MB/system temps though.

DO you need a V8? Dunno, depends on what YOU want to do. Like kick says it won't help with performance but it will get you to a higher clock if thats what you wish for. But then again the HS you mave may work well @ 3.91 GHz with proper tuning... JMO

Well thats what I was thinking that the higher I OC my system the better performance I will get no? (maybe I need a lesson on what really OCing my proc is going to get me performance wise, not just to get highest I can just cause I can LOL). Cause your loop times are way way down from mine and you have slightly higher GFlops. I just want to get the best performance out of my Q9550, I'm not concerned with getting the highest OC possible, I just want it to run optimally at as fast as I can make it go, and at the same time, have a good performance gain. Is there a clock speed where you stop seeing a performance gain in programs and games?

I think I will definitely get a couple of 120mm fans for the side, that might help, maybe Scythe S-FLEX series, Conners, do you have them both intaking air from the outside to blow over the MB or do you have one intake and one exhaust?

My bad Chike I thought I saw you had a push pull when I saw a pic of the skyscraper in your case

With the CNPS8700 the NB probably have enough airflow as it is designed for the standard blow down stock cooler.
If you replace the CNPS with V8 or alike than maybe you need to take the top of the NB HS off, so it does not block air flow from the side fan.

This is not a totally 100% true statement, well at least in my case. But I have not removed the the top but attached a small Scythe 2" by 2" fan to the NB.. If interested I'll look up the P/N of the fan I used. But that by no means means it's the best way possible to do it, just what I have tried and it seems to work OK for me.

Check out this CM 120mm fan (90 CFM) ...tis what I bought for my sides, bottom and rear... But be careful some try to sell lessor similar for them...
