Thanks for reply Ace; Ya the Thermalright Ultra 120 extreme is actually the first HS that Lsd recommended to me before I upgraded my HS, but at the time I didn't have my HAF case and I had a mini tower which could only accommodate the short Zalman CNPS8700 that I bought. So, now I have a case that can accommodate any HS, but I cant return the Zalman cause its way past 30 days and it cost me 60 bucks, so unfortunately I am gonna try and use it for awhile before justifying an upgrade HS again LOL.

But ya, I really liked the Thermalright at first when I was checkin out the specs on it, that and the TRUE BLACK and the V8.

Your average GFlops are awsome too Mine are only touching 42 with my cpu OC'd to 3.4ghz and loop times are around 65.

Edit: One last question Ace, you have the same memory kit as me, and I was just wondering what tRD you run at, I use 8 atm, and was thinking of trying 7....

omg 53 GFlops, thats crazy, did your GFlops go up just cause of the boost in cpu clock? Or did you do something else as well to enhance your performance like OCing your ram a bit? Your Drive Strength must be manually set to 1333 I'm guessing?

So I guess I'll just leave my tRD at 8 and call it good lol My GFlops are only 42 @ 3.4ghz and 65 loop times... Looks like you're runnin 32bit vista?

With your mobo, tRD=7 and using the B-strap should be doable up to about 420MHz FSB.

There are pluses and minuses to enabling Load Line Calibration. Google
    load line calibration anandtech
and decide for yourself if you think it's safe to use.

    IBT times and speeds:
    On my backup system (32-bit o/s, E2140 C2D @ 2.80GHz with 3GB of memory) with threads=2

    Test #1: Stress level = Standard (memory = 1024)
    Test #2: Stress level = High (memory = 2047)

Test #2 had 3.5% higher GFlops but each pass took 2.85 times longer to complete.
With your slightly more powerful cpu and 12 times more L2 cache, your results will certainly be different.

Your GFlops will increase as you increase your overclock manly with cpu speed and FSB.

Im running vista 64. I just set it to use 2gb ram to to see what mine would be like compared to yours I guess I would really do 8.5x400 to see that

Different versions of IBT and LinX show different resilts so you need to run the same software & version with the same amount of ram to compare really.

How about we do a Super PI Mod 1.5 32M run and post a screen shot? Or 1m or 8M.

Or all 3? Just delete pi_data.txt and pi_rec,dat2 before. The PI mode will have all max results in it's main window.
