Thanx for the case info all I did order my TX650w Corsair PSU yesterday, but havnt decided on a case yet >< I am still trying to figure out if I want to go all steel or get all aluminum again; I really really love the steel cases you guys are turning me on to, I just dont want the steel cases to be too heavy cause I have a bit of a back problem

I'll keep researching the cases and hopefully come to a conclusion by the end of the week ^^ (Still really love the HAF 922 )

EATX - Wikipedia has information about motherboard form factors, power supply units and many links.

    Happy reading.

Unless your are always moving your computer I wouldnt worry about if its steel or aluminum. I would be look at which one has best air flow and room for growth. You may not say it now but you may wanna do it later once you get the itch for o.c that wont go away we all get there just to what extreme. And thats where water cooling comes in. Or you just cant stand having those loud noisy case fans. Always look for a case that will last you 2-4 yrs.

Well I definitely wont be moving the case hardly at all, but I already have the OC bug so thats the reason why I am so gung ho about getting a better case atm

Probly will get a steel one anyhow, I really like some of the ones I have read about ^^

One thing really GREAT about the EATX board, if your case supports, is that those big long video cards fit like they should and not stuffed in with a shoe horn. AND SATA ports are actually easier to get to.

Both the 922 and 932 HAF are great cases, biggest difference is the amount/size of fans they come with and the 932 is just a little taller.

Also, the 932 comes with optional wheels for moving it around. I use that option all the time to wheel the case out and do my internal changes.

Ok guys, I hope you dont mind me posting this here (as it doesn't relate to the "Gigabyte" forum), but I have narrowed my selection down to 2 cases that I really like and was hoping you can give me some feedback on to which one you would choose cause I am gonna order it tonight and it should be here Friday. Then I have to perform open case surgery and transfer everything to my new tower... yay

I just want to know if one would have better cooling over the other or if they are pretty much the same wise and that its up to me aesthetically?

The first choice of course is the CM HAF 922, which I really like. It has the 120mm fan in the front, rear and top and has open ventilation on the side panel. Little heavier of a case than I am used to but thats ok. Its 120$ with shipping

link to it > Newegg.com - COOLER MASTER HAF 922 RC-922M-KKN1-GP Black Steel + Plastic and Mesh Bezel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case - Computer Cases

Then, there is this other cool case, which I just found last night and am very partial to it. The case is a Lian-Li Lancool PC-K7B. It is all aluminum casing, but with steel chassis on the inside, so you kinda get the best of both worlds; And its lighter than the HAF. Fan wise, it has 2x 120mm fans in the front and 1 120mm fan in the rear, but no fan on top. It also has a removable MB tray which I really like, cause I had that on a Lian Li case I had awhile ago and boy it made it easy to put together and modify. This case is only 100$ with shipping.

link to it > Newegg.com - LIAN LI Lancool PC-K7B Black Aluminum/ SECC ATX Mid Tower Computer Case - Computer Cases

So I plan on ordering this tonight so they get the order when they first open their doors in the morning. When I get it Friday and have it all put together THEN I can continue my OC thread here this weekend (I feel like a kid in a candy store )

thanx for any input on my two selections guys ^^

Well guys, I decided to get the CM HAF 922, with x2 200mm fans front and top and a rear 120mm fan and expansion for more fans, plus all the room it has in it, I figured it was the best choice. 20 bucks more is fine

I have never had a bottom mounted PSU, hope thats just as efficient a design as the top mounted PSU?

Bottom mounted psu setup is great, as long the psu cables are long enough to go behind the mobo panel for better cable management. Take a look at some of the better HAF 922 web reviews and you'll see photos where cable management has been optimized to reduce cable clutter and minimize airflow obstruction.

Once you have your new case up and running, you won't have any more o/c excuses, and we expect to see your system stable with 500MHz or higher FSB within 10 days, 2 weeks maximum.

    Have fun.

I love my 922 cable management I did buy a few long SATA cables in UV Blue of various lengths cause some were just not long enough thats comes with some of the devices. I'm and also re-sleeving everything to UV blue and putting in a UV Blue light and all blue fans.

The bottom mount PSU is great I just turned my Silver Stone DA850 up side down and it sucks from the bottom and blows er out the back.

Excellent choice in a case IMO.
