sorry i dont know how to post anything from the bios without writing it all down on paper. i hope the above is what you were asking for.
in the bios screen at start up set fsb so it gives you 3.2 ghz, then youll need to lower your ram multi so it matches 1066mhz or lower, you may need to alter core voltage but dont change it yet

did you save it after you changed it?? did you check in cpu-z to see if it had changed to 3.2ghz? you need to read some overclocking guides to get the general feel of what to do and talk to someone with the same board as i dont have much idea with older chips, you dont want to mess with any voltages without good advice as it can damage componants but changing fsb and ram multiplier wont hurt anything

you sir may well be a genious! i lowered the ram multi to below 1066 and it seems to have worked. when i double click on computer on the desk topit still says 2.66 in the bottom right corner. cpu-z however says core speed =2412.2mhz with multiplier of 6.
every so often the multiplier changes to 8 and the core speed goes up to 2.6mhz. is this normal??
    thanks for your help

yes your board or chip might have power saving enabled so it will drop when idle to save power you can disable it in bios,it wont tell you in windows if your chips overclocked itll just tell u the 2.66 cpu-z should tell you if its at 3.2,raise the fsb and use the highest fsb multi you can, then set your ram as close to 1066 or under 1066 then save it and reboot

keep it on as it saves heat and power when cpu is idle, soon as any loads put on the cpu the power savings turned off automatically,is it at 3.2ghz now? if not im sure someone with more experience with these boards/cpu will hep you

Overcklocing is a bit more than just raise FSB and set memory multiplier.
With our current changes some voltages may be far beyond what they need to be and possibly harmfull in the long run.
The system need to be fine tuned for max performance and tested for stability.

You bought an overclocked system, that's what you need to get. You paid for "For extreme performance you no longer need to look to the sky and dream, the Titan Thor is here", that's what you should get, with instruction how to recover if OC settings are somehow lost, insist on it.
