Hey Methodd, you could validate it with cpu-z and post the link here?

im not that worried about it. the previous ss was a completely unedited print screen. believe what you want.

and from my understanding of what ive read on this site, is that mine sems to be running rather slow compared to its capability. and that is due to my ram only being 667 correct?

The RAM's speed has a direct correlation to the speed of the system. Using 667 ram will slow things down.

An upgrade to 800 or higher RAM is needed for your system to perform faster.

I also noticed that the multiplier and CPU host on your screen shot is only giving you 2ghz.
Try upping the multiplier to 9.5 and CPU host at 333 that would give a 3.16ghz rather than 2ghz.

    Post your bios settings

sorry, but im kind of new to this. I know how to get to my bios settings. but im not sure how to post them.

iirc the bios said the multiplier was (9x) and the core speed was 333. I notice on the cpu-z it says multiplier "(6-9.5)" does that mean it throtles down on low load?

*edit for another ss*..bc if I run something more demanding, such as wow, the multiplier goes up.

    The CPU is idling down.

Here is a link to a generic bios template:

    http://forums.tweaktown.com/290746-post4.html

The bios is accessed by pressing the del key at system start up. Then go to MB Intelligent Tweaker to post whats inside your bios. It is easiest to print this template so you can write down your settings.

If you are not sure what you are doing. There are plenty of good guides here to read before jumping into the water.

Memory usually does not have noticeable performance gain, if you plain to OC then DDR-1066 is recommended, otherwise use the DDR-667 and if you plan to upgrade for more memory. low latency DDR-800 tould be just fine.

EDIT: 2.00B multiplier might give slightl;y better results if you able to use it, possible decrease of Static tRead Value may improve performance as well. If you post a screen capture of MemSet main and spd(click spd) screens we'd be able to advise.

These settings are found under the advanced bios link just under the MB Intelligent Tweaker link, change them to what's posted here:

    Advanced Settings
Limit CPUID Max. to 3.....................: N/A disabled
    No-Execute Memory Protect............: N/A enabled
CPU Enhanced Halt (C1E)................: N/A DISABLED
    C2/C2E State Support....................: N/A disabled
    x C4/C4E State Support..................: N/A disabled
CPU Thermal Monitor 2(TM2) ...........: N/A enabled or disabled
    CPU EIST Function.........................: N/A DISABLED
    Virtualization Technology................: N/A Enabled

And I completely disagree that 667mhz memory compared to a faster speed memory like 800, 1066 or 1200 has little noticeable performance gains.

Also, can anyone explain why the D vs B settings do strange things with these boards?
Yes, I know the latch is supposed to be 400 vs 333. I am referencing why the settings past 2.66 D (and even 2.66D) cause failure, BSOD even if you have the right hardware or room to support it?
