    Default X48-DQ6 & HyperX PC8500 2gb & Q9300

    Hi all,

Sorry for being such a noob lol. I bought my X48-DQ6 last year together with 2GB HyperX PC8500 CL5 & Q9300. Never had any intention of OCing my rig before....right untill I came to this forum I've done some reading on the basics of OCing, but I havent had the guts to really do it on my own as yet. Would any of you nice folks be willing to share some bios settings to get my OCing on going? I'm not looking to break the world's OC record or anything. I just wanna get my money's worth on buying buying the premiuim m/b & the hyperx. Btw, i'm still on stock chiller. Suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Oh so you feel more comfortable if someone else fry your system for you rather doing it yourself, we'll be glad to do it for you

J/k, what's the plan, you intend to get better CPU heatsink? What are you after? 3GHz or more?

Yes the good fans and heatsinks will reduce heat and help.

Lol chike, i'd prefer not to fry better I'm not thinking of getting an a new CPU heatsink yet, cause i'm targeting of doing only a mild OC, something just slightly more faster than stock.Would 3ghz be too much on stock chiller?

Have no experiance with quads myself, but there's already q9550 OCing to 3GHz with better than stock HS and temps getting high. Depends on ambiant temperature and case vantilation.

Have you done a search, because I haven't spotted any Q9300 X48 combos here lately.

Hi guys, some update. Got myself a Prolimatech Megahalem mated with a single 38mm Delta fan, Strangely enough my OC to 3ghz(stock voltage) gave me 61C,62C,59C,61C (core 0 being stuck so ignore it). Dun you think its a lil bit high? My ambient temp is kinda high too, around 39C, would that cause it?
