    lol 2gb of mem is all i have. and yes its a older version of memtest86+.

    check this out. i swaped slots on mobo to 2 & 4. same thing in memtest so i took out 1 stick ran it alone. same errors here is what i got with this 1 stick

    just gonna use directlink to image dont want to clutter up the place.

    then i took that failing stick out and put in the 2nd stick and got this.

    am now running prime so far so good. i know im going ot RMA this mem but should ileave it running right now with the 1 stick or should i pull them and put in my mushkin mem and run those.. only ddr2 800and i did set the driving strength to 1066. if i change back to the ddr2 800 should i change it back to 800?

    actually gonna change to the mushkin mem and memtest them and run from there. adjusting for ddr2 800 mem

    Well is you had 2GB in your sig it eould have been more obvious.
    Problem is the Mushkin may not handle the FSB, but you can try, or make a stable 3.4GHz profile for the Mushkin which would pprobably would be worthless when you switch the memory again.
    Some say use driving strength higher than the ram rate, I have never noticed any change and it is set to the ram rate.

    ok i swapped out to the mushkin mem. changed cas lat for these sticks changed back driving strength to 800. fired up into mem test. passed 7 test no errors. ivehad these stick running at 900mhz but after that they are shakey. getting ready to run some test again and see how things are. then RMA these 1066 sticks. tbh this is the second set of these i have had and both were faulty.. maybe some g-skill might be better.

    Definitely RMA the memory both sticks as they are a pair right... What are your Muskin specs and yeah you'll have to go to 3.4 GHz with 800mhz memory on a 2.00D strap.

    OOPS to late.... I've noticed if you get things from New Egg I think they may sent out things that may have been previously returned... JMO

    well i still have it at 3.61ghz passed all 5 test at full mem on IBT. running prime as i type. no probs yet.

    actually i bought the corsair mem from dell not sure if i should try and RMA them back to dell or just contact corsair.???

    ok here is a shot of it all working..


    these Mushkin can do right at 900mhz so later i might try and take it up to 445-450 range and see how things go.

    with the settings you guys have had me change to has made a big difference.i am running 3.61ghz with alot less vcore,less mch. this is good.you guys are awesome. and with these settings the only thing i really should need to change will be vcore and maybe some MCH???am i looking at that right?

    Did you find the default vcore (vid)? I noticed your vcore under load is like 1.184. May need to add vcore voltage a notch or two depending on your vid and it may be wise to do it anyway.

    Also I don't know what your showing for advanced timing control settings in your bios so set them accordinly.

    Might try these settings on for size for 3.8 GHz. G/L

    On the RMA might see which one, if either will cross ship for faster service.

    when i was in bios it showed the default vcore was 1.275v
    but i have it at 1.2625v adn it is fine. since changeing mem out ive passed all test so far.

    Looks pretty good @ 3.61 GHz. If you go up to 3.8 GHz just up your v core 1st then maybe a little MCH voltage if it's not stable and possibably a little vdimm voltage @ 900 MHz. Also set your Advanced Timing Control settings manually.

    its getting close for me to get ready for work. so if not tonight i will mess with it in the morning.
    not sure if i stated it but my goal for a OC is 3.83ghz 24/7 i would like to see if i could get it stable around 4.26ghz just to say i did..

    ok here i go going to take it up a little more today. gonna just take it to 3.7ghz and up the vcore a bit and post what i got...oh yea i ran prime95 all night last night almost 7hrs. no issues....


    look at that vcore on that joker...lol sweet. not gonna bump it to much. trail and error...
