IBT/LinX gives a very good indication if more vcore is needed, too low results and low heat means more is needed. At 3.6GHz I'm guessing 45-47GFlops are possible.

3.7ghz stable with all stress testing so far. only ran prim95 for 1 1/2 no errors.ran memtest86+ again and all fine. IBT did fail and rebooted when i just bumped vcore up 1 tick to 1.275v went back and bumped it to 1.825v and its where it is now running like a champ
i will run linx now and see what i get.. its about the only thing i havent run so far...

well i tried 3.83ghz and it aint gonna happen with the ddr2 800 mem.
id say 3.7 is my max. 436x8.5 mem running 870mhz

heres what i did. bumped vcore up to 1.30v from 1.2875v
took mch up to1.24v and then 1.28 from 1.20v
dram volts up to 2.12 then 2.14 from 2.1(which mem can handle 2.2)

IBT kept locking up when trying to test.. so id say here is where i am until i get some 1066 mem again.

hell 3.7ghz is nice any how.

Well good job Rob. Like you say that may be as good as it gets with your 800 MHz memory. Do you feel ok or do you feel a bug coming on?

well as they say in the movie TOP GUN
I feel the need... the need for speed
    .

lol.im very happy with this right now. 3.7ghz on 1.20vcore(1.2875 in bios) and mch is low as well as dram volts.

i didnt realise or think that setting the optimized defaults would make a big difference. i never did it or was i informed to by others at another site to do such. i just wonder if they know????lol

ok so i had to back it down from 3.7 to 3.6 dont sound like much but i think it was stressing my 800mhz mem a little to much im still happy with this speed. even more so with the vcore.... the reason to even change it was, i decided to run linX and see what kinda Gflops id get. well it shut down on me when i did so.
so i went in and droped the OC a bit. and bumped up mch to 1.24 and dram volts to2.12

here is a shot now of linX

Rob take a look at this thread... http://forums.tweaktown.com/f69/g-sk...-stable-34930/

He was having the same problem with 8 gig memory not running 1066 but figured out that if the lowered MCH Core voltage to 1.050V he could get the 1066 speed.

hey all.. been away for a bit.. ive been sicker than a dog the past week. just now getting over it...

i looked at that thread. some good stuff in there.id say once i get me some ddr2 1066 again i will give it another shot. its cool what the optimized default seeting has done for this board, but im not sold that this board is going to get me higher than 3.8ghz stable. if not tomorrow i will order some more 1066 mem. gonna give the dominators 1 more try then im done with them... first time was my fault not knowing what im doing second time i had the faulty stick. 3rd time better be a charm..lol christmas will be here soon, might have to wait till then to get the UD3P.....

i had the DDR2 1066 2x1gb dominators. one stick failed and i RMA'd them.instead of sending out a new set they wanted me to order another pair so i could get them faster. i just havent done so yet. i have the mushkin in there now.(ddr2 800) i was trying to get as much out of them as i could. i tried 3.7ghz it ran fine for a couple days but the 436fsb was to much for them. i had to back them down a little. they are rock solid at 3.6ghz 425fsb. i might have been able to put some more juice to them to get them to run at 3.7 but its not worth it if they blow.... shoot im happy as can be to be running 3.6ghz with a vcore as low as it is right now. i looked in coretemp it was showing vid as 1.165 and vcore in cpuz as 1.190-1.200v loven that right there.
