It was just a typo, as u can see from the E8600 quotes below it. EO, then your cpu voltages look high.

These guys have turned the EP45 board inside out. GA-EP45-UD3P - Won't boot with 450FSB It does now.

That thread is a hub of EP45 overclocking here at Tweaktown. They would know more about EP45 than I.

Your issues are likely memory related. You are not going to get 444-12 to run at 900+ Mhz, please set that to 555-12/15 for now.

Are you starting from optimized defaults? Just wonder because you have changed somethings so I am not sure

Then put all these back on Auto and try things again. Also set Performance Enhance on Standard for now.

Yes, I do suggest the latest BIOS, looks to be F10b for your board >>

You can buy UD3P, where do you live and what would you like to spend?

I have just recently updated the bios from F7 to F9 (Qflash).
I was starting from optimized defaults, but had to take out the bat. and short the bios reset for 20min. to get the sys to boot efter flash.

It's funny that my memory easely can go 4-4-4-12 at 940mhz
Prime95 load max temps are 51 degrees celcius both cores, and vcore drops to ~ 1.344v in windows.

Thats all for now, any comments ?

btw. the UD3P is not available in denmark in any shops, is it a better board to overclock, than my ds4 ?

I had a DS4P, and used a UD3P and found the BIOS had less options so I didn't like it, but the UDx models do clock very good, not sure if they are actually better or not but seemed to me that my DS4P was much nicer and higher quality than the UD3P I played with

Can't you get UD3R there? Do you ebay? I know there is some of each on ebay all the time and now a lot more people ship worldwide

I found one here ships from malyasia to denmark
    Buy - from IPmart.com

They also ship internation here >>
    eCOST.com-Giga-byte Desktop Board - GA-EP45-UD3P - Giga-byte GA-EP45-UD3P (Motherboards) - eCOST.com - electronics, computers, laptops, mp3 players
eCOST.com - Notebook Computers, Desktop Computers, Discounted Notebooks, Refurbished Computers

    Here as well
    GIGABYTE GA-EP45-UD3P intel p45 chipset ATX form factor 2xPCI-E(x16)/3xPCI-E(x1)/2xpci/4xddr2 w/sata2 raid,dual lan(gb),1394,usb 2.0 & audio (cpu type:intel - socket 775)

They also do here, board price $104 and looks to be about 50 for shipping based on the following forum post
    http://www.directron.com/gaep45ud3r.html?gsear=1

    http://directron.infopop.net/2/OpenT...6&m=1131093281

I personally would ebay if it were me and I could not find it at a normal place I shop, as I like dealing with a person instead of a company

    Thx for your links ;-)
Will look into it, what about my oc, I'm somehow happy to go 4230mhz with most of my volts on auto, that was not possible with the old bios.
Where should I start the next step?

First off, please find and set your own voltages for PLL and Vtt, Auto will set them WAY to high. Thanks for mentioning that again, I meant to comment and forgot

Lol, I see what you are saying :-)
    Had to go up to:
    CPU Termination…......1.200V*.......: 1.320v
    CPU PLL…………………....1.500V*.......: 1.560v
just to boot and go into windows...

That sounds about right. Now in Auto just at 4Ghz Vtt was likely 1.6-1.8 and Pll was probably close behind

Testing for stability, then tweaking a few settings at a time
