    Got it booted and seems to be running fairly well at 3.4 ghz

    Nice.
    Your Static tRead Value went over 15 being left on auto, it is possible it may be set to 9 or 8 (for now). With tighter timings or highr mempry frequency 7 should be possible

    You would have to run some stability tests to make sure the settings are ok.
    LinX/IBT (IntelBurnTest) can indicate if the CPU has enough vcore to operate at the desired speed, 5-10 loops with max memory should be suffcient.
    Prime95 small FFT for an hour to backup LinX/IBT test and stress the CPU, and then an overnight, 8+ hours of Prime95 blend test to make sure all components, CPU, MCH, and memory, are working in harmony.

    Watch over core temperatures, with RealTemp/CoreTemp/HWMonitor(CPUID)especially when running IBT where temps may get real high. Up to 75c during IBT stress are ok, Prime95 will be ~10c lower temperatures than LinX/IBT.

    Looks good if you can run stable. I'd set advanced timings and static tRead (8) manually. And try on the 2.00D strap. IF stable I see you could hit 3.8 GHz with very little settings changes if any.

    I made the tread change to 8 and set the strap to 400/2.0d .......seems to be running fine. I'm gonna spend the rest of the evening running the stress tests and if all is fine I'll try for 3.8 tomorrow night. Thanks to all of you for your input.

    Clearely, your advanced timings were better on auto, compare the MemSet images.
    The B strab is superior to the D strap, performance wise.
    The bottom line is performance, the numbers on the sheet means nothing, compare the two settings with a memory benchmark.

    This is what i would try now then test. Then try to go with a higher memory feq, say like 900 and se what happens. But can always do 3.8 GHZ @ 800 MHz memory max...

    Lsdme's test kept tRD the same for the 2.00 B and D MCH strap settings.

    Up to about 460MHz FSB, using the B-strap should allow you to set tRD 1 step lower than the stable D-strap. The tighter (lower) B-strap value will improve memory bandwidth.

    To further confuse things, in the upper 400MHz to 500MHz, the D-strap can usually use a lower tRD setting than the B-strap for improved memory performance.

    Good start!
    It's best if you also post your stable bios settings and a screen-shot similar to the one in post #15. This way there's no confusion.
    Save your current stable bios settings as a saved bios profile before you make any additional changes.
