    Default GA-EP45-UD3L help

    Having trouble running 4 Gig, I can run stable with either Ram in slot 1<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /><o:p></o:p>
    When I put both in and run the voltage to 2.0 in same colored slots,<o:p></o:p>
    Boots ok, but not real stable. Right now just one stick of Ram and Auto voltage. I sure hope I have enough info for the Experts. I do not plan<o:p></o:p>
    To overclock just want a stable machine.<o:p></o:p>

    whats your rams rated timings and voltage?? its most likely your timings that causing you problems

    set timings and volts to the spec for your ram and i would set performance enhance to standard as it can cause instability,also try your ram timings on auto and see what bios sets it at,and if your on stock cpu speed set your cpu volts on normal as auto will over volt it

    Don t forget to put the PCI Express frequency to 100 always for stability and here is my latest post for a similar board as yours

    I just had some settings off and I got the OC message when opening BIOS. In summary you dont have to be OCing to get a OC error message.

    With XMP and DRAM Voltage auto your memory voltage is probably set higher than 2.0v. Check BIOS HWMonitor to see the actual voltage applied.
    It would be a good idea to first run memtest86+ for 6+ passes, each stick in the slot it'll be used in, to verify both the memory and board are not faulty.
    Set Performance Enhance = standard, for the test.

    EDIT: DDR-1066 is not always possible with 266FSB, it may be easier to get them stable at DDR-800 with tighter timings.

    thanks Chike for you help, I tested each ram in slot one, both tested ok. I never tested one stick by itself in slot 3. My voltage is set for 2.1 which is recomended. It was when I put the ram in slot 1 and 3 did I have problems. I moved the ram to slots 2 and 4, ran
    the test all is ok. I'm going to leave it there everything seems to be working.
