    Default gigabyte ep45-up3p RAID instrusction?

    in tried to setup windows 7 Rtm raid

    with 2 hard drive. intel matriax raid 0.


    I'm getting a error after windows do the installation .. and reboot.

    BSOD.


    DO i have to load the drive or something when i do the windows 7 installation/


    i thought ich10r was natively supported in windows 7



    It works fine in single drive ide or ahci installation.



    I'm new to raid.

    Gigabyte EP45-ud3p REV 1.6 BIOS >> FDa

    Intel e5200 @ 1.4V = 3.75ghz ( 12.5 X 300)

    I think you have to set up the raid in your bios 1st then install windows 7. I should install the raid drivers as windows installs. I found this wording from a post by Lsdmeasap. Hope that helps...

    Then you need to enable the following settings in the BIOS, then proceed to the RAID BIOS ROM (Control + I at bootup/IRQ Screen) to build your array

    Integrated Peripherals

    Intel Controller (Blue Ports)
    SATA RAID/AHCI Mode (Intel ICH10R Southbridge) ............. RAID
    SATA Port0-3 Native Mode ................................... Enabled (or Disabled, both will work)

    Vista and windows 7 you should not have to supply the driver as long as you are using the intel chip set (Yellow connectors). If you want windows to boot from a raid drives you have to create the array then install windows to it. You cant install windows on 1 drive then raid with another and expect it to work.
