Only the stock settings at this point.

Question: could I have a screwed up bios flash? I am currently running bios version F11c. Gigabyte has a beta bios F11d available. I figured I'd give it a shot. When I flash the bios using Q-Flash, it says I have an "Invalid Image File". I then decided to try all the bios versions. Each time it gives the same error. 2 quads with ****ty o/c's seems strange to me.

I always use the latest bios in the link I gave you, it is F11d. Thed this post on flashing the bios. Aslo after fhash the bios always load the Optimized Defaults 1st, reboot and set it up like you wan it then reboot into windows.

Ok. Here's where I am at now.

    - I updated the bios to F11d.
    - I changed the ram settings as per Conner's suggestion.
    - Still could not get the computer to post regardless of voltage.
    - For kicks, I jacked the northbridge (MCH) up to 1.3 and was able to get to windows log on at 1.2875v. Then got a BSOD.
    - Upped vcore to 1.293v and was able to log into Windows. After a few minutes of idling, another BSOD.
    - Upped the vcore to 1.30v, got into Windows, seemed stable. Started IBT. I did a 5 pass test with small fft. IBT crashed during the second pass, but no BSOD. Love the temps on this chip. Temps maxed out at 53C. My Q6600 would be nearing 80C @ 3.4.

Looks like we are on the right track.

Don't worry, temps will increase significantly when you have it working properly.
    Your current settings?

Ok. Here's my current settings. I can navigate Windows but I am not IBT stable.

Edit: I increased my MCH core to 1.36. That allowed me to complete a 5 pass IBT using small FFT's. Gonna Try again with more stress on the ram and see if it passes. Yep. I can pass IBT at maximum stress settings.

Hmm. Was gaming a little and got a BSOD. The code was 0X00000002. Never seen that one before.

STOP 0x00000002 errors are likely caused by hardware or Device Driver issues.

I'm going to update my video card drivers. Let's get this proc higher. I'd like to hit 3.5. Do I start by upping the fsb?

I updated my Nvidia drivers. Hopefully that's all well & fine. At the settings listed above, I was able to run IBT (10 passes, max stress) without any issues. This morning I rebooted Windows and I could not post. I upped the vcore to 1.306 & was able to boot into Windows.

I'm running a 10 IBT as I type. So far, so good. I noticed my vcore drops to 1.184 under load & my ram voltage drops to 2.032 under load.

I still want to go higher with my o/c.
