    Default GA-EX58-UD4P Sound/BIOS Problem

I built a Core i7 box around the end of February. Nothing OC'd.

    GA-EX58-UD4P
    Core i7 920
    3x 2GB OCZ Gold DDR3 1600 MHz
2x ATI Radeon HD 4850 [Crossfire]
Rosewill 650W PSU [replaced with Antec Earthwatts 750W]
Windows XP x64 [replaced by Windows 7 x64]

At first, everything went pretty smoothly. Booted easy, and I slapped XP 64-bit on it. After a couple of weeks, the boot time jumped to 10-15 minutes. I found it was the FireWire port, and after it was disabled, boot time went back down. After that, another smooth patch, until I tried to get into the BIOS one day. I pressed Delete, and the POST process hung. I rebooted and tried again, same thing. I let it go, and everything worked fine. I just couldn't get into the BIOS. As long as everything stayed good, I could have cared less.

Then, it died. Random shutoff and only RAM voltage lights/quick fan spin when you try to start up again. RMA'd the board to Gigabyte, and got it back. Same thing. I replaced my PSU, all systems were go [minus BIOS still]. At this point, I was getting tired, as I am in a technician program in university, and 3 weeks without a computer while taking 4 computer courses is tough.

Then, after all that, my sound randomly disappears. Device Manager shows nothing except HDMI sound from my video cards. I reinstalled the drivers, and got it back for one reboot. The second time it disappeared, I upgraded to Windows 7 x64. I figured maybe it would find it better than XP, especially during setup. Nope. I've now got pretty graphics and no sound. BIOS still won't let me in. I need someone to look at this from a different angle, cause I'm getting nowhere.

Yes, I've cleared the CMOS. It goes to boot, and gives a little list of "good known configurations", and if I press enter on the one it's on, it freezes. If I press the arrow keys to select a different one, it freezes.

a few things to try, i would make sure and re-seat cpu heatsink as if its not 100% fitted correct it will cause cpu to overheat and auto shut down/loop...ive seen it happen, next try with just one graphics card in and make sure all your rams in the white slotts and fitted propperly also check all your wires and connections

It won't install, it doesn't even open.

The Gigabyte drivers for Win7 include the UAA driver. It says it installs and wants to restart, but when I do, there are no files in the install folder [Program Files(x86)\Realtek\Audio].
