    Default Rma

I have a EP45-UD3p board v.1.0. Recently it would not boot if I have rams in slot 1 or 2. I need to rma this board.

How long does it take for gigabyte to send you a new board?

Also I guess I will be getting v1.6. Is there any difference between v1.0 and v1.6?

    Which one is better?

    Corsair dominator 8500 4x1gb. Windows 7 x64.

I can put any combination of sticks in slot 3 and/or 4 and it would work fine. But if I put anything in slot 1 or/and 2 the computer would not post.

If you have 2 sticks of ram the should go in either slots 1 & 3 or slots 2 & 4.

yeah, I got that. The thing is if I put anything in slot 1 or 2, it won't post.

Is this a new build or has it been running a while?

It was an old build. Was working fine a couple of days ago.

I took the memory out and checked it in another computer and they're all fine.

I narrowed it down slot 1 and 2.

might try these two thing and see if it helps, if not I'd say an RMA is in order.

1 Reset the CMOS and then load optimized defaults then reboot and apply you settings in the bios and try.

2 Flash to the latest beta bios here in the forums (sticky) then load optimized defaults then reboot and apply you settings in the bios and try.

Thanks for the suggestion, but been there, done that.

I just want to know how long I'll be without the motherboard. Are we talking about days, weeks or months?

    How fast is gigabyte service?
